February 28th will mark the end of online PC publication by Marvelous USA. This means the closure of Pandora Saga: Age of Discord, Shin Megami Tensei Imagine, and BattleSpace.
Though this comes as a great surprise (and the MegaTen fans in particular are quite up in arms), Marvelous is surprisingly going out with a bang in each title, pushing live all developed content originally scheduled for much later launches. Those enjoying these games can be sure of plenty of events and additions to their title before the final closure at the end of the month.
Big improvements have arrived in the European edition of Dragon Nest as the fast and furious dancer Kali arrives alongside multiple improvements to UI, new Dragon Jade for unlocking advanced skills, and combination skills to give you better juggling power than ever before!
Kali herself offers a devastating and diverse range of melee and ranged attacks, with specialty depending on which class path you follow. Utilizing chakrams, fans, and soul magic, she stands as a threat at all times and can be quite tricky to catch long enough to combo her.

Nexon America will release an exciting new content update for its beloved title Mabinogi just in time for Valentine’s Day. Centered on Doki Doki Island, a romantic and secluded getaway with sandy beaches and lush forests, the update will feature a bevy of new events and content to be released throughout the month, including:
Meet your Match: Doki Doki Island introduces a heartwarming Soulmate system. Upon arriving on the island, players can create a profile by talking to the Matchmaker, who will reveal their perfect partner. Together, Soulmates can explore charming landmarks such as the Harmony Torch in the town square, and participate in events to accumulate Romantic Points. When enough Romantic Points are accrued, Soulmates gain the magical ability to fly.
Celebrate Valentine’s Day: Players also can participate in adorable Valentine’s Day-themed activities and mini-games such as the Doki Doki Dance Party and the Depths of the Heart questionnaire to earn more Romantic Points.
New Mini-Games and Daily Quests: Other mini-games will include carnival games such as Darts and a classic Hammer Game, as well as Daily Quests to sustain the island through life skills including fishing, cooking, and metallurgy. Players can also scour the beaches for Cat’s Eyes, a unique jewel that can be exchanged for special items including an exclusive Lunar Dragon armor set and the Doki Doki Pet Box.
Seize the Skies: Beginning Wednesday, Feb. 26, players can earn medals and a special Sky Blessing Box by taking part in the Seize the Skies event. To celebrate the wonder of flight and give players a whole new perspective of Continental Iria, Professor J, a character introduced in last month’s update, will chart an expedition to explore the heavens above and find the fastest adventurers in Iria, who will navigate twisty airborne race courses to compete for rankings and prizes.
When Daniel learned that one of his girlfriend’s favorite developers made a game in which you can create your own stories to play with friends, he hatched a brilliant plan to win her heart…
You can imagine that we at Larian Studios never expected to become a wedding agency when we started developing Divinity: Original Sin, but requests to use the game for marriage proposals began pouring in when we offered players a chance to create their own cooperative dialogs during our Kickstarter campaign.
Daniel, for instance, wanted to create a dialog of his own in which he’d ask his girlfriend, Dolores, to marry him. ‘Sure,’ we said, expecting to ship the game in plenty of time for those planning imminent proposals to enjoy.
With the delay of the game’s release, however, Daniel had to act: He contacted us directly, asking what arrangements could be made to facilitate an in-game proposal. This was a man utterly tired of being unengaged to his Dolores, it seemed, and the delay simply wouldn’t do.
Working together with the team’s writers and designers, Daniel made not one, but two stories: one to get an unsuspecting Dolores over to Larian Studios and one to set up a proposal in the game.
The first was an outright fib: Daniel and Dolores, as it went, had won a fan contest to come and test-play the game at Larian Studios. So they did, but as she explored the game world, Dolores soon found a mysterious ring on the beach near Cyseal, engraved with a message. ‘Bring me to the statue of the lady,’ it said, ‘and her spirit will be revealed to you.’
Later on, as they explored the game world, they located a statue in a forgotten corner. The magic ring was employed, and lo and behold, a ghost rose from the ground, bathing the area in golden light. ‘I am the spirit of Love,’ she spoke, ‘so say what has been in your heart for so long!’
‘Will you marry me, Dolores?’, Daniel asked. ‘I will!’ the shocked Dolores answered. The rest is history. (Fortunately, history has been recorded and uploaded in our latest update video for posterity to enjoy).
Soon, however, proposal arrangements will be out of our hands: Divinity: Original Sin will release this Spring with a game editor, and we’re very much looking forward to see what creative custom campaigns hopeful lovers will make to impress their beloveds.
Larian Studios Developers help a fan surprise his girlfriend on a friends and family testing day with quite the unique marriage proposal in Divinity Original Sin.
InnoGames’ online role-playing game The West launched a Valentine’s Day event today, leading players on a hunt for hearts! With those hearts, players can unlock up to ten rewards with increasing heart requirements. The first special item to unlock is a traveling fair, with which the players can win unique item sets. Hearts can be earned via regular jobs or in duels with other players until March 2nd.
As appropriate for a day of love event, players will also be rewarded for cooperative behavior. Hearts can be sent to other players via a friends bar, which will be part of a special quest line. Furthermore, all hearts collected on one world will be accumulated. The more successful the community is here, the more valuable the rewards given to them will be. Those community rewards can be items given to every single player on that world, and include things like a new questline.
