EA and Bioware Unveil New Online Action RPG Shadow Realms
BioWareTM, a division of Electronic Arts Inc. (NASDAQ: EA), today announced Shadow RealmsTM, a new 4v1 story-driven online action RPG, set in a constantly evolving BioWare world where modern meets fantasy. Four heroes adventure against another player-controlled enemy, a malevolent force called The Shadowlord, in dynamic 4v1 co-op missions, ensuring that no two battles are ever the same. Players will have the choice to play either as – or against – The Shadowlord, building experience and progression whether they have chosen good or evil. The over-arching narrative will be released episodically, playing out over time like a great TV series, providing players the ability to experience story-driven adventures as a community.
“This game brings us back to our roots in the realm of classic Pen and Paper RPG, but also delivers something that’s completely new and innovative for our fans,” said Jeff Hickman, General Manager and Vice President at BioWare Austin. “Shadow Realms is a new BioWare RPG that has the hallmarks of all BioWare games with a rich story, a unique world setting and deep combat progression, but built as an interactive experience that evolves the genre and broadens the appeal to online gamers all over the world.”
In Shadow Realms, Modern Heroes on Earth are being awakened and recruited, because of magical powers they never knew they had, to fight in a new and dangerous war against the Shadow Legions of Embra. The Shadow Legions, who have been battling on Embra for years against the members of the Radiant Empires, have gained new strength with the coming of a powerful, unknown force that we call the Shadowlords. And, they have just figured out how to leave Embra and invade Earth.
Join the battle with three other modern-day Heroes to fight the demonic Shadow Legions and a player-controlled Shadowlord to save all of humanity. Build both a Hero and Shadowlord that are deeply customized to the way players want to play.

First “Living Lore” Skin Chosen by Players Launches
On August 8th, players got their first taste of how they’ve been guiding gameplay with the launch of the character Raina’s “Devoted Friends” skin. Raina’s “Devoted Friends” skin is the first skin players received from “Living Lore,” and her glowing shield made of stained glass marks a big milestone for Dawngate’s fans and developers. Dawngate’s “Living Lore” feature lets players vote in-game on different outcomes of key decisions in the www.DawngateChronicles.com webcomic. Once votes are counted, players see how their choices play out in the webcomic and drive Waystone to create new in-game skins and characters based on the new storyline.
“A few weeks ago, players directed Zalgus and Raina to disobey the Queen and search for an old friend in the North, so we ran with that story decision,” said Dave Cerra, Executive Producer at Waystone Games. “While searching for their friend, players saw Raina summon a beautiful shield made of shards of stained glass. She worked to rescue a horrified little girl with incredible powers. That little girl she found? She was a new Shaper. And that outfit Raina is wearing, that stained glass shield? That’s her newest skin. We’ve clearly got lofty goals for where we can bring ‘Living Lore’ from here.”
Practice Mode Helps Players Find New Ways to Break the Meta
Dawngate shatters MOBA norms by using a unique role system that defies traditional fixed team strategies. By giving players the ability to choose any role for any character (aka Shaper), players can get creative with their tactics. Practice Mode adds a bot battle into the mix to help new players learn about what makes Dawngate unique, while giving veterans a distraction free environment to experiment with new Shaper and role combinations. Waystone Games has big plans for expanding Practice Mode, but for now, bots will gave players a perfect environment to learn new skills.

Elsword’s Add Gets 2nd Job Class
KOG Games, a leading developer and publisher of popular free-to-play action MMORPGs, today announces the ability for players to advance Add, the 9th playable character, to the next Job Class: Lunatic Psyker.
As Lunatic Psyker, Add’s thirst for power has grown beyond measure. On his search for a better way to store a large amount of El energy for his Dynamos, Add meets Adel, the chief of Altera. Adel informs him of the Altera Core’s energy handling capacity. He visits the Core to investigate, and with his findings, he succeeds in upgrading his powerful Dynamo weapon. Now, Add just needs a strong source of power. He locates a powerful El source in Feita, a place overrun by demons. With Lento’s help, he succeeds in changing the demons’ Dark El into a Moon Stone, and he uses it to perfect his Nasod Armor.
At level 35, players can choose either to complete the in-game quest or purchase the 2nd Job Change Item from the shop to unlock Add’s 2nd Job, Lunatic Psyker. As the Lunatic Psyker, Add harnesses the brutal attack capacity of Plasma, his newfound weapon technology. With break-neck speed, explosive attacks and relentless combo potential, Add becomes the master of the forward attack. Typically known as a glass cannon, the Lunatic Psyker offsets this weakness by using his newfound power to redirect damage to surrounding enemies.
At level 65+, the Lunatic Psyker’s true destructive power is realized. The Hyperactive Skill “Doomsday” makes known to all in Add’s path that complete annihilation is evident.
As Lunatic Psyker, Add truly personifies the age old adage that the best defense is an all-out onslaught. Take Add to the next level. Play Elsword. Play your Manga.
Boid
Boid is a minimalist real-time strategy game that’s optimized for touch-screens and mobile platforms. The objective of the game is to defeat enemy units with armies, while navigating complex maps and building armies.
Features:
Reduced Fat RTS: Boid is a real-time strategy game. Strategy, tactics, commands, and movement of troops all happen in real-time – but unlike other games of its type, Boid has minimalist graphics and bright visuals. It is all about the mechanics and the game itself.
Vivid Visuals: Despite their simplicity, the visuals are bright, with stark contrasts and sleek animation. What they lack in complexity, they make up for in functionality. The intention is to make battles easy to follow, and troop movements easy to organize.
Microbial Units: The units themselves resemble cells and antibodies. Points can be taken, turned over, and remade into production centers. Boid is intended to be a game of true skill, easy to balance, easy to support, and simple to learn.
