Wargaming.net League Grand Finals Head to Poland this April

Wargaming today announced details about its first ever Wargaming.net League Grand Finals, slated to take place on April 4–6 at the Multikino Zlote Tarasy in Warsaw, Poland.

“In the first year of the Wargaming.net League we’ve seen tears of joy and tears of anger from some of the best World of Tanks players around the entire world,” said Mohamed Fadl, eSports Director of Europe and North America at Wargaming. “The Grand Finals in Poland are going to be the ultimate culmination of that intense competition, and we cannot wait to finally crown our very first world champion.”

The championship will assemble 14 top-performing teams from around the world, including Fnatic and SIMP from North America, ARETE and NOA from South Korea, PVP Super Friends and UAD from Southeast Asia, Energy Pacemaker and E-Sports Club from China, and Na’Vi and RR-UNITY from CIS region. The European game’s cluster will be represented by Virtus.pro and Synergy, as well as two wildcard teams—Lemming Train (Poland) and Team WUSA (Germany). After taking part in three seasons of qualification matches, tournaments and championships, teams will battle each other over three days until only one is awarded the title of world champion.

The Aurora World – The Guardian Patch Arrives March 13th, 2014

On March 13, 2014, The Aurora World will be receiving its long awaited update. One of the main things to be aware of when this update arrives’ is that there will be a new server. However, unlike just any new server, this one will focus more on creating an even playing-field for all starting characters and continuing to end game. The ultimate goal is that players will find themselves playing the game more and accumulating redemption points, completing dailies and special events that they can then use to redeem cash-assisted items to upgrade their character instead of solely relying on cash-assisted boosters.

The new update also includes:

  • New Clan War map: Frontline
  • New Content
  • New Majinns and Fashions
  • Resource War Update
  • Joining the New Server: Bonus Incentive

FFXIV: ARR Teases “Through the Maelstrom” in Upcoming Producer Video

Square Enix, Inc. today released new screenshots for the upcoming FINAL FANTASY® XIV: A Realm Reborn™ Patch 2.2 – Through the Maelstrom – content set to arrive in March. They showcase the updates to the main story and characters, including the continuing story of Hildibrand, the introduction of Gilgamesh and the mysterious Yugiri, and primal Leviathan whom players will face in the latest primal battle! Full details of the new assets can be found in the accompanying document.

Square Enix also announced the 13th installment of the Letter from the Producer LIVE with director / producer Naoki Yoshida. The live stream will kick off on March 21 at 2:30 a.m. (PDT) and cover upcoming Patch 2.2 content, including a preview of the new beast tribe quests, new cases to come for Hildibrand, the introduction of the “Glamours” system that allows for the altering of gear appearance and “ventures” that will allow players to expand on their retainer’s role. Main scenario writer Kazutoyo Maehiro will also make a guest appearance to speak to Patch 2.2’s story and quests.
