World of Tanks Blitz: New Battle Missions Released

World of Tanks

Wargaming is proud to announce the latest update for the mobile sensation World of Tanks Blitz—update 1.8—is here! This update brings the hotly anticipated addition of Battle Missions, a revamped tutorial and the introduction of a demo account.

Newly introduced Battle Missions let players earn rewards like Premium Account, experience, free experience, crew experience, and credits. Each player gets a set of three missions of varying difficulty levels: simple and advanced. When completed, missions will be reset along with the XP multiplier for the next victory. If a player doesn’t like a mission, they’re able to skip one mission every 24 hours.

Battle Missions come in three different types with different requirements: missions performed in a single battle; missions performed over several battles; platoon missions, which must be performed with a platoon mate. These can be cumulative or over a single battle. The revamped tutorial will be available for those joining Blitz for the first time, featuring a battle tutorial and many useful hints. A new player will be introduced to the garage, complete a few basic battles, getting to grips with equipment and crew. After completion, full freedom of action will be unlocked. The tutorial is not mandatory and users may skip it if they choose.

The new demo account feature allows players to get started with Blitz without registration. The account is created automatically, and there is no difference in the in-game experience except for a randomly generated username. Playing the game, retaining progress and making Store purchases are still available. Players can also upgrade their account to a fully-fledged Wargaming account if they choose.

World of Zurit: Indiegogo Campaign Launched

World of Zurit

Alive Games launches a crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo to fund its TPS/RPG/MMO hybrid combining a huge dynamically changing world to explore, evolving and unpredictable enemies, open-world sandbox reflecting decisions players make and a fascinating story to drive the plot forward.

The game industry is overwhelmed with typical shoot´em all games featuring no more than simplified mechanics, stereotyped characters and virtually no real pledge to the genre. Having tired of modern trends in contemporary game development, Alive Games Company aims to shake the market and develop a groundbreaking shooter/RPG game – The World of Zurit. Now, with this idea in mind, the company comes to Indiegogo.

The core principles of the game are dynamics, evolution and variability. Everything changes in the world of Zurit. The world itself evolves and reacts on players´ activity. Impersonating huge biomechanical beings powered by the mystical Zurit material, players develop new features and skills, upgrade their weapons and armored skin, fulfill tasks and make choices. Every choice matters as it will eventually influence the world. Every detail of surroundings is variable, and that makes the gameplay intensively deep and catching.

“There will be no two similar sessions in The World of Zurit”, comments Oleksandr Bolkhovetskyi, a game designer at Alive Games. “Scenery, NPCs, skills – everything shifts and develops in the world of Zurit, and it is up to a player to decide whether or not he wants to be the one who changes the world, or the one who just visits it from time to time.”

The shooter part of the game involves upgradable weapons, armors and special skills. However, there will be no pre-defined classes in the game. Instead, The World of Zurit lets players choose the line they want their characters to follow. Intellect or strength, protection or agility – the choice has a great effect on the gaming style.

Alive Games aims to raise $78,000 on Indiegogo. The sum will fuel up the development of the game for the next 18 months resulting in a functional alpha-version to be released. “Everybody wants more”, concludes Olexandr. “We want more realistic worlds, more choices, more places to explore, more emotions. Our goal is to develop more than a game – an interactive world that will touch hearts of players and change their minds. That´s why we go to Indiegogo”.

Shakes & Fidget MMORPG Gains New Features

Shakes & Fidget

A lot has happened since the original release of the multiple award-winning MMORPG Shakes & Fidget in 2009. Originally released as an MMO browser game, over 40 million registered players can now also enjoy thrilling adventures on iOS and Android. Now the Hamburg-based developer and publisher Playa Games has released the most comprehensive update in the online RPG’s history to date. Alongside a complete visual overhaul, the PvP Arena, messaging and guild systems, Weapon Shop, and more, have all been modernized and upgraded, too. A few things have also changed on the technical side: Thanks to new 64-bit server architecture, up to two million adventurers can now play on one world at a time.

Eye candy – Shakes & Fidget sets itself apart with its lovingly designed comic book style, which has lost none of its charm in 2015. As part of modernizing the game’s feel and visually harmonizing older and newer features, the update has given the MMO a fresh coat of paint: Hundreds of graphics assets have been completely reworked and, in some cases, drawn again from scratch.

Opponents at a glance – One of the multi-platform MMO’s highlights is the Arena, in which heroes duel each other. With the new update, combat against other players is now significantly smoother and offers a richer variety of interaction options. These include complementing manual searches for potential opponents with automatic suggestions. In order to make it easier for players to estimate their chances of victory or defeat in advance, opponents’ strengths are directly comparable against their own. Players can now also message each other in the Arena itself, add friends directly, and invite other fighters to their guilds.

Improved communication – To improve communication between players, Playa Games has completely overhauled the mail and messaging systems. Messages from friends and combat messages are now sorted and separated in an organized way according to subject. A discreet but clearly visible mail icon informs players of new messages.

Guild members can enjoy the expanded chat system: Chatting is no longer restricted to the guild window and can now be used anywhere in the game. An increase in the number of visible lines in the chat window also provides a better overview of conversations.

64-bit and much more – From a technical point of view, Shakes & Fidget has had an extensive upgrade: The client has been completely reprogrammed and now runs noticeably more smoothly. The migration to 64-bit server architecture means that a whole two million players can play on a single server, in contrast to the previous amount of 500,000. Despite those extensive technical changes, Playa Games has ensured that all game saves and characters have been kept. Players can continue their adventures in the online RPG without delay and exactly where they left off.

Content update and redesigned mobile apps already set for release – In addition to the numerous technical and visual changes, Playa Games is also already hard at work on new content. Vigilant MMO fans will quickly notice the new Fortress icon and changes to the Backpack and Weapon Shop. Over the coming weeks, Playa Games will reveal the exact nature of these changes. Players using the iOS, Android and Windows Phone apps can also look forward to completely reprogrammed versions. Changes include optimized layouts, ensuring that Shakes & Fidget is displayed even better on individual end devices.

World of Tanks 360 Version: Siberian Wolf Pack Update Available

WoT

An icy wind blows across World of Tanks: Xbox 360 Edition in the Siberian Wolf Pack update. Now available for the first time on console are deadly, new Soviet medium tanks. They’re perfect for hunting together and eliminating any enemy foolish enough to enter their territory….or their gun sights.

The Siberian Wolf Pack update delivers an alternate line of medium tanks: the A-43, the A-44, the Object 140 and the Object 430 II, creating a new branch of USSR tank fire power. The A-43 is an agile and light medium tank great for the high-speed sneak attack. Adept at flanking, the A-43 is most lethal when attacking the vulnerable sides of their enemies. Next in line is the A-44, a tank that deals a respectable amount of damage; if it cannot out gun an opponent, its deflecting armor angle provides supreme defense against incoming shells. Not to be outdone, the Object 140 and the Object 430 tanks each bring the opportunity for unique battle strategies to your growing arsenal.
