Riot Games has announced that on the eve of April Fool’s, its popular Ultra Rapid Fire mode will be returning with new modifications. That’s right, League of Legends is getting a NURF.

The New Ultra Rapid Fire mode strives to deliver a slow, strategic battleground that will “broaden the pool of high-level talent to include expert tacticians previously excluded by something so trivial as the necessity of hyper-twitch reflexes.”

The gameplay mode will feature:

• +100% mana and energy cost on all abilities
• +200% cooldown inflation on abilities, items and summoner spells
• +225 movement speed reduction
• +200% delay between basic attacks
• Critical strikes deal 50% of base AD
• Units critically strike on 150% of attacks

Independent developer Fatshark announced today that in partnership with indie team Toadman Interactive, that Bloodsports.TV, a bloodthirsty Gladiator-style arena five-player co-op game set in a post-apocalyptic, third millenium, is now available via Steam for Windows PC. In Bloodsports.TV players choose from one of 8 gladiators and join a group of up to 5 players to defend a Missile Silo against waves of enemies. At the end of each wave, a missile is fired to attack a nearby settlement, aggravating the inhabitants, drawing them to attack the gladiators in the arena.

“Although Bloodsports.TV is a strictly co-operative experience, its mechanics should feel familiar to MOBA players as it has taken a lot of inspiration in terms of progression and design”, said Rasmus Davidsson, Lead Designer at Toadman Interactive. “It has been a real blast to playing with our awesome beta testers. We are now looking forward to seeing the community grow and how the game will develop along with it!”.

Inspired by classic hero siege and defense games, Bloodsports.TV takes place in a Gladiator style arena set in a ravaged post-apocalyptic Stockholm, that’s been feeling the effects of nuclear detonations, kinectic impacts, bio-weapon plagues and all-consuming nano storms. Combatants battle an endless onslaught of angry villagers, mutants and animals to the sound of a quirky commentator, who provides a minute by minute commentary to the vicious, bloody entertainment, in this fast-paced approach to strategic co-op games.

Team up with your friends to form a murderous crew and choose from a wide variety of deadly Gladiators, each with their own unique abilities and play style. Work together to shoot, smash, stomp, electrocute, drain, and melt your enemies. Or support your fellow Gladiators through healing and buffing up their skills! Find your own strategies in the Bloodsports arena to become an increasingly infamous and prestigious Gladiator in the world of Krater. Achieve higher scores and climb global leaderboards with your friends to become the greatest crew of Gladiators in the world.

Progress through the Path to Glory to achieve personal bonuses and master all classes and reach the top to receive the Grandmaster title, a title sought by all but achieved by few.

Last weekend, a Spring tournament was held for Com2US’ 3D Mobile RPG Summoners War. Each year, summoned combatants controlled by CPUs are pitted against each other to see who would win in a fight.
