About Nightbanes

Nightbanes is a digital collectible card game set in an alternate modern horror universe where vampire clans are waging an endless war for dominance. Conquer the underworld as an almighty vampire lord by sending your minions and allies into battle. Duel other lords in different PvP modes or master the single player campaign earning additional powerful cards the further you journey.

Step into modern, urban battlegrounds filled with magic and gruesome creatures. Fight werewolves – your traditional archenemies – as well as horrifying monsters, wild animals, corrupted humans, and even battle robots, aliens and dragons. Build your deck according to your preferred play style and theme. Run bestial decks that overrun your opponent with the pure mass of creatures, build up a defensive deck and hide behind your lines while slowly draining your opponent’s life, or take control of the battle with powerful artifacts – the choice is yours!

(A small taste of the many unique cards to come)

Earn cards along your journey or pull them from booster packs to constantly improve your deck. Cards can be leveled and combined to create new, more powerful additions to your deck – something a real world card game can never deliver.

As you fight your way through different thematically regions and themes you’ll battle powerful bosses, found guilds and join-up with other players to raid the most merciless epic bosses of the underworld in order to gain special loot cards. The universe of Nightbanes is an ever-growing one with new expansions, abilities and hundreds of new cards to be introduced over time.

Take your strategies to the next level in the player-versus-player part of the game. In active PvP, players need to be simultaneously online and fight a live duel to gain a higher ranking. The higher your PvP rating (under the ELO system) the more PvP reward cards unlock. Every PvP season lasts about 2-3 months. After a season the PvP rankings are reset and new reward cards added. Players also earn a currency called “Blood badges” which they can spend on special PvP cards. Gain even more blood badges in passive PvP: You submit your deck but you don’t have to be online. You either fight against offline players or the AI takes over your deck if you are attacked.

GTA Online: Heists Explained

GTA Online

Rockstar Games has just released new details regarding their upcoming Heist mode for the new update to GTA Online in GTA V.
What are Heists?

Heists are a new type of gameplay experience inside GTA Online – they are massive, multi-layered, 4-player co-operative missions that encourage players to work together and make the most of their individual strengths, and a team’s level of communication and coordination can make or break each mission.

Rather than existing inside the current forms of GTA Online, they are now essentially a game within a game, designed to add another major option to the experience of GTA Online alongside Free Mode, traditional co-op jobs, competitive modes, and races. Each Heist has its own story and set of missions that have you interacting with new and returning characters from the story of GTAV.

Sometimes you will be working alone or in pairs, and sometimes as one tight unit in order to execute your objectives, and each player will have a completely different experience depending on their role in each mission. Communication is key. You’ll need to be in close contact with your team and sometimes synchronize your action in order to succeed. Players can join or host heist missions, set up heist missions, adversary modes and more.

World of Warships Closed Beta Departs March 12th

World of Warships

Wargaming is excited to announce that preparations are underway for the World of Warships Closed Beta, which will begin on March 12. Applications open for Europe at 11:00 CET, North America at 11:00 PST, and Asia at 17:00 SGT. During the test, players will dive into online naval battles, sharing their feedback with the development team to improve the experience.

Held in December 2014 and January 2015, the two World of Warships Beta Test Weekends attracted over 75,000 users. Boasting 15,000 concurrent players, there were an average of 60 battle sessions played by each tester in only four days.
In the upcoming Closed Beta, players will have access to five original maps, taking them on a journey through arctic oceans to tropical archipelagos. On their voyage, 50 U.S. and Japanese warships are available for players to challenge the seas and enemy ships.

Both nation’s cruisers are great, nimble vessels that have the upper hand against enemy destroyers, and even deal a significant blow to ships of the same class. Japanese battleships are fierce attacking ships, which, thanks to their thick armor, can also offer other vessels on their team excellent cover. Destroyers from both nations are perhaps the most maneuverable of ships, and are perfect for scouting, offering backup, and carrying out deadly torpedo strikes. The fourth and final class are aircraft carriers, initially represented by American warships. These types of ships are unmatched at attacking the enemy and providing reconnaissance—ideal for the more tactical player.

Crews (represented by warships commanders) play an integral role in gameplay. With each level, Commanders gain points that can be spent on a variety of skills divided into several ranks and categories. Players can choose to improve the Commander to best suit their play style from increasing a ship’s resistance to certain damage to decreased reloading times.

In addition to personnel training, Modernizations allow players to develop a ship’s combat capability. There are numerous Modernizations available, such as increasing a weapon’s durability or ship’s resilience to fire and flooding.
For those that enjoy working together as a team to conquer the seas, they can join forces with two other players in Divisions.

In the future, World of Warships will add Japanese aircraft carriers and U.S. battleships. Achievements for many accomplishments in battle as well as customization options will also be introduced to the game.

Our time at Day Three was very limited, but luckily there is still much left to tell from Day 1 and 2 that we have not yet covered! It was a pleasure simply to go, and I learned so much, and saw even more. There is excitement coming to the gaming community at large, and much of it was visible at Pax East, from huge AAA titles like Overwatch, to lesser known but still remarkable titles such as Dreadnought. But Day 3 held the title I was most excited for personally, and you will be too, when you see more on it, and that’s Gigantic. Without a double, it was the real winner of Best in Show at Pax East!
