Final Fantasy XIV Patch 3.3 Details Revealed

Litany of Peace
The conference held at Falcon’s Nest was intended to celebrate the reconciliation between man and dragon. But the lingering shade of Nidhogg, clad in the flesh of the Azure Dragoon, marked the occasion by spilling the blood of his own kind─a timely atrocity to remind the children of Ishgard that the conflict was far from over. In those twilight hours Nidhogg cried out for vengeance, and his brethren raised their voices for the final chorus of the Dragonsong War.

Chronicles of a New Era – The Warring Triad
Sephirot, the Fiend, first of the Warring Triad to awaken, fell to the combined might of the Scions of the Seventh Dawn. However, these gods of eld are not the only threat with which you and yours must contend, for the Garlean Empire and her loyal servant, Regula van Hydrus, still seek to harness primal powers. Should they be allowed to succeed, the fate of this very star may be forever changed…

Hullbreaker Isle (Hard)
To the chagrin of countless treasure hunters, the golden coffer of the legendary Mistbeard was not to be found on Hullbreaker Isle. And so like the mists which had withdrawn to reveal the isle did those ambitious souls depart to seek fame and fortune elsewhere, allowing Eynzhar Slafyrsyn to quietly petition Admiral Merlwyb for permission to repurpose it as a training ground for Maelstrom recruits.

The storm marshal would have you be the first to brave this gauntlet, that you might pit yourself against the isle’s fearsome fauna and the Maelstrom’s elite, and in so doing rouse their spirits. Will you give the storm officers a beating they will not soon forget, or will they stand triumphant at the last and shout that they have bested the Warrior of Light?

Sohr Khai
Majestic and forgotten, its existence unrecorded in the annals of man, a palace rests atop the clouds in the farthest reaches of the Churning Mists. This skyborne splendor was once home to Ratatoskr, brood-sister to Hraesvelgr and Nidhogg, until the treachery of mortals ensured that its stones would never again ring under the she-wyrm’s talons. The dragons named it “Sohr Khai,” a grieving apology for their failure to avert her fate, and they watched with infinite sadness as Ratatoskr’s empty roost was overrun by bird and beast.

Battleborn’s First Free DLC Hero Launch Dated

Battleborn’s First Free DLC Hero Launch Dated

2K and Gearbox Software announced this morning that Alani, the first of five new free playable characters for Battleborn will release on May 31st on all platforms and May 24th for both Season Pass holders and PlayStation 4 Open Beta participants. Additionally, this weekend Gearbox and 2K are hosting a Battleborn Double XP event, running from Friday, May 20th at 8am PDT to Wednesday, May 25th at 8am PDT, for players to earn twice the experience points from all Story Mode episodes and Competitive Multiplayer matches.

First discussed in detail at Gearbox Software’s panel during PAX East, Alani is a member of the Eldrid faction who was raised as a healer but forced to be a warrior, and is all that remains of her order after Rendain’s Jennerit Imperium stole the oceans from her world. As a warrior from a planet with vast seas, Alani’s attacks and abilities revolve around her power to control water to dish out pain, or heal her fellow Battleborn. At PAX East, Gearbox also teased what the other free post-launch DLC characters might look like – that image is included in the asset download link below. More details on the next DLC hero (the 27th) will be coming soon.

Star Crusade Exclusive – Faction Profiles Revealed

By Darren Henderson (DizzyPW), Portal Manager

Recently our cohorts at Bottom Tier had the chance to dive into an upcoming scifi hero deck CCG still in early access development, Star Crusade. As thanks for our coverage, we struck a pretty sweet deal to land an early look at the backstory profiles of the launch roster of heroes representing the six factions.

First up is the Shan’Ti leader representative, Dar Geharis. The Shan’Ti are masters of genetic manipulation, weaponizing biology as they become creatures straight out of your nightmares. Or dreams. If you’re into that kind of thing.

Star Crusade

No scifi game is complete without an evil corporate galaxy trotting mercenary group. Luckily the Consortium is here for all your contracted killing needs! And we have a look at their fearless leader, San Bara.

Star Crusade

Thanks to the Borg, we are also obliged to deal with the cybernetically enhanced emotionless faction, unwavering and merciless in their ways. But even the Hierarchy AI needs a cult leader to tie it together. And so we meet Tel Machus.

Star Crusade

Speaking of zealous cults, you have your Protossish psychic zealots out there to give you proper choices in your cult membership! Just sign up with Seer Rhea Felis to begin donating your essence today!

Star Crusade

Protoss not your thing? Even when they can disguise themselves as beautiful aliens? You’re a truly Spartan sell. Well for those that just want the nitty gritty American Forces experience, there are the Terrans. Masters of countless wars, they live and breath the destruction of all that stand in the path of their way of life. Admiral Borodina stands ready to crush those Hierarchy drones back into their star gates.

Star Crusade

None of those factions speak to you? Are you a lost and unappreciated rebel? Then the Shan’Ti have just the failed escaped experiment for you! The Hajir-Gog have been genetically modified to survive in the roughest of environments, and, now united under Keldar Tyr, are ready to strike back to cut a piece of the universe out for themselves.

Heroes of Incredible Tales (HIT) Launching This Summer

Heroes of Incredible Tales (HIT) Launching This Summer

Nexon and NAT Games announced that Heroes of Incredible Tales (HIT), the HD hack-and-slash RPG powered by Unreal Engine 4 and topping Korean charts, will be launching worldwide this summer. HIT is the debut mobile title from the new studio NAT Games founded by Yong-Hyun Park, the renowned lead designer behind popular massively multiplayer online role playing games Lineage II and TERA. Downloaded more than 5 million times in Korea, HIT has remained in the top 10 grossing apps on the Apple App Store and Google Play since its November launch. Players can preregister for HIT to receive unique in-game rewards including gems, weapons, and accessories, and be notified when the game launches at: hitmobile.nexon.com

HIT is a revolutionary gameplay experience that’s as fun to play as it is visually stunning. Built on Unreal 4, we are able to push today’s powerful mobile devices to deliver truly immersive, visceral gameplay,” said Lawrence Koh, General Manager at Nexon M. “Yong-Hyun Park creates incredible RPG experiences that resonate with players globally. We are very excited to bring his epic slasher to mobile devices worldwide later this year.”

HIT’s fluid and action-packed battles star four distinct classes of heroes whose armor, skills and attacks are unique and highly customizable. Players vanquish evil, with loot drops and leveling adding nuance to their hero’s combat style. With simple but lightning-fast attacks, HIT provides instantly gratifying battles. Strategic players will chain together long combos of melee, ranged and evasive maneuvers for greater rewards. HIT’s expansive game modes currently include 200 increasingly challenging levels, a six player free-for-all PvP arena, massive cooperative raids and dungeons with more content planned beyond launch.

“We’ve created HIT because it’s exactly the type of game that my team and I love to play, mixing intense and rewarding action with deep customization and an abundance of loot,” said Yong-Hyun Park, CEO of NAT Games. “It’s been absolutely amazing to see Korea embrace this game and with Nexon’s global reach, the rest of the world will soon be hacking and slashing their way through this dynamic and detailed world.”
