League of Angels II Launching Multi-Language Edition
After launching their latest MMORPG League of Angels II in North America, Asia-Pacific and Europe, and being featured by Facebook Games, developer GTArcade makes another stride towards creating a truly global game. GTArcade announced that the Multi-language Edition of LoA2 made its debut on May 26th.
Communicate Beyond Boundaries
The Multi-language Edition contains five languages: English, German, French, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese. Players can switch their in-game language to their preference. All servers will have these options after its release, including existing servers. Additionally a new translation helper will be added to the chat box to help players communicate. Players of different languages can communicate boundlessly in epic battles in LoA2. It is believed that in-game player interaction will be more active.
Youzu Overseas Expansion
In March of this year, Youzu Interactive, parent company of GTArcade, acquired German game developer Bigpoint Games in order to further expand publishing operations. With more than 10 years of game publishing and marketing experience in Europe, Bigpoint has successfully launched 60 games in 25 languages. GTArcade will work jointly with Bigpoint on LoA2 Multi-Language Edition to optimize the game’s publishing strategy in Europe, while building a solid foundation for the release of other language editions. Currently Spanish, Portuguese, and Turkish language packs are near completion and many other languages will be added soon.
The Angels Have Transcended
League of Angels II is the flagship title in GTArcade’s original League of Angels franchise. Its predecessors, League of Angels and League of Angels – Fire Raiders for mobile, have both achieved global success and received numerous Best RPG game awards in 2015. The original LoA is still played in over 150 countries and has received numerous awards such as Facebook’s Best New Game in 2014 and MMOsite’s Best Browser Game in 2015. LoA – Fire Raiders was named Best Mobile RPG in 2015 and has topped mobile charts all around the world.
Under development for 2 years, LoA2 combines an advanced 3D engine, beautiful animations and effects, and epic storytelling to create a rich and unique fantasy world. There’s no shortage of action or strategy as players embark on their grand quest to save the land of the Angels. The game was designed from the ground up to push the limits of next-gen online gaming. GTArcade will continue to focus on bringing LoA2 to the rest of the world through out 2016 and beyond.

Origins
Shieldbearers are no strangers to conflict. Those that are selected to become Shieldbearers are all veterans of war. Having survived countless battles, they understand the ways of the battlefield more than anyone. A Shieldbearer trains rigorously in order to wield their massive shields in combat without hindrance. Their shields can be used to deflect the most devastatting attacks, as well as to crush anyone foolish enough to get close. Shieldbearers are often deployed to protect high value targets or defend important positions. A Shieldbearer can greatly enhance the capabilities of his allies, enabling them to hold out against overwhelming odds until reinforcements arrive. When enemies see Shieldbearers in a formation, they know they are in for a long and tough battle.

Criminal Girls: To Censor Or Not To Censor?
Criminal Girls: Invite Only is a game on the slowly dying PlayStation Vita. Released by NISA, this is the first time a “Criminal Girls” game will be released in America! I know a lot of you are thinking “So what?” or if you’ve seen the game you might be thinking “What the fuck is wrong with them!?” and that’s totally fine. It’s definitely not a game on my radar. I think it’s pretty gross and repugnant. Some of the girls look waaay too young to be in this game. There were a few things censored in “Criminal Girls”, such as:
- Artwork. No more rope bondage porn! The art was softened up.
- Terminology changes: It’s no longer “Punishment”. It’s “Motivation”!
- No native dialogue: This is probably for the best. It’s even creepier sounding in Japanese though.
- No “Motivation” scene dialogue: This one I understand a little less. Since the game has no subtitles, I guess it’s just easier to not have this at all.
The nature of this game is “consent”. That’s probably why it was changed from “Punishment” to “Motivation”. If these girls are tied up and being punished and you’re just having your way, I can definitely see the need to possibly soften this game up a bit, so it can even be released in American on a console. The ratings system for consoles is pretty damn tough. Even if it were a digital only release, it would have to get an MA/Adults Only rating which would mean sales would tank. And tank hard. But there were choices, Nippon Ichi! Choices! You could have ported a game that didn’t feel like bondage porn/something darker! Port it to the PC where the restrictions aren’t as horrific! Still a chance it could get the dreaded “AO” stamp on PC, but they could have thought this through a bit more. You could import it yourself! It’s not the first time a game came out on a Sony console that people imported because they couldn’t have it in America! There’s no region lock there! The point is, even if I don’t agree with the game, I’m not going to try and tell people not to get it/that it should be censored. There were other choices than pushing this to the Vita with a bunch of edits. The Vita’s basically a dying handheld in America [No matter how much I love it], so I don’t think it’s going to make the money you think it might.
Touching young girls who are criminals and “fulfil the girls’ special requests”. Jesus F. Lord. It’s a pretty fucking perverted game, but you don’t have to buy it, it doesn’t have commercials on TV, or on YouTube that I’ve seen. You have to actively seek this game out. I don’t understand the need to make this game, but if you’re going to create a creepy, obscure game and release it in America, leave it as is, or don’t do it at all. I don’t judge peoples’ tastes, but damnit, America. You knew what this was going to entail [pun not intended, I swear] before you decided to port it.
Should they have bothered? Risked the “Adults Only” rating? Should they have just ported yet another version of “Disgaea 1” instead? What do you think?

Smite 3.10 Thoughts: Glittering Prizes
Hey everyone! The Viking Invasion is still going strong! Villages are covered in a brilliant flame and people are playing game modes just for quest objectives. But that’s not important right now! What IS important is patch 3.10, and the big takeaway is Fafnir! The Lord of Glittering Gold is on his way and he’s a support/Guardian! The best role deserves the most love, after all. I’m going to be doing a review of him after he launches so I’ll keep what he does brief:
Endless Greed: Bonus gold from all minions, structures, kills, and assists. He also gets bonus protection for gold on hand. I can feel how silly this might become in my bones.
Curse Strength: Hurl your hammer; if it hits a God it stuns them and pulses a slow and damage around them. It hurts even more in Dragon Form, and shreds protections too!
Coerce: Buff an allies attack speed, and heals himself. Whenever his ally damages an enemy he gets increased magic damage. In Dragon Form, it can affect multiple targets. This is going to make teamfights really mean really fast.
Underhanded Tactics: Leap and Damage targets as well as apply a disarm! In Dragonform it deals additional damage over time. Dragon Form leaps much farther, does more damage, and stuns the nearest foe in addition to disarming.
Draconic Corruption: TURN INTO A DRAGON. He can’t be targeted during the process; he poisons enemies around him when he reappears, and he stays as a dragon until the timer wears off or he reactivates it. His auto becomes a ridiculous dragon breath [but at least it can’t proc on-hit effects]. It’s absolutely monstrous. Huh? Huh? Anyway. . .
NEW GOD SKINS: Ski Patrol Skadi, Aphra Cadabra Aphrodite, Demon King Ravana, Nile Stalker Sobek, Wyrm Slayer Ullr, Covetous Fafnir. Also Jing Wei’s Mastery Skins.
Achievements: Aprhodite, Nox, Ratatoskr got some new achievements forthcoming!
- Changes:
- A few miscellaneous fixes that can be seen in the patch notes [linked below]. Fixed an issue with Artemis.
- Gauntlet of Thebes, Mail of Renewal, Stone of Gaia all gained more Health.
God Changes:
- Buffs:
- Ah Muzen Cab, He Bo, Kukulkan
- Nerfs:
- Ratatoskr, Raijin, Susano
As always, the patch notes are right here.
