Journey to the Savage Planet Reveal Trailer
Typhoon Studios and 505 Games announced Journey to the Savage Planet at The Video Game Awards.
Launching in 2019 on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, Journey to the Savage Planet is an upbeat first-person adventure game set in a bright and colorful alien world filled with weird and wonderful creatures. As an employee of Kindred Aerospace, which proudly touts its rating as the “4th Best Interstellar Exploration Company”, players will be dropped onto an uncharted planet deep in a fictitious, far-away corner of the universe. Launched with high hopes but little equipment and no real plan, players are tasked with exploring, cataloguing alien flora and fauna and determining if the planet is fit for human habitation.
“The core tenets of Typhoon are strong flavors, lots of intertwined systems, a penchant for bad jokes and a deep and abiding love of collaborative play,” said Alex Hutchinson, creative director and co-founder, Typhoon Studios. “Journey to the Savage Planet will encompass all of those things and more.”
“This is a passion project for our team, many of whom came from larger companies including Ubisoft, Eidos and WB Games to embark on this indie game adventure with us,” said Reid Schneider, executive producer and co-founder, Typhoon Studios. “It was a dream come true to reveal our project at The Game Awards,” added Yassine Riahi, technical director and co-founder, Typhoon Studios. “We were thrilled to see the positive reaction from viewers and we’re eager to get Journey to the Savage Planet in your hands next year!”
Dead By Daylight: Chapter 10 Launch Date Announced
Behaviour® is excited to announce the release of its tenth chapter for its survival-horror game Dead by Daylight® on December 11. Darkness Among Us includes a new map, killer and survivor. The studio also announced dedicated servers for the summer of 2019. Now is the perfect time to join the 10 million players who have enjoyed this daunting game of cat and mouse since launch, in June 2016.

CHAPTER 10: DARKNESS AMONG US
For the first time in Dead by Daylight, the killer is human, making him much harder to differentiate from the survivors. In this chapter, players will encounter a group of four friends who have become killers. They call themselves The Legion and they draw their power from the thrillingly insane freedom of not abiding to any rules but their own. Players will choose to embody one of the agile teenagers able to catch their victims off-guard with their power, Feral Frenzy.
The new survivor is Jeff Johansen, an artist with a heart of gold. He has a dark past but led a quiet, simple life until his father passed, leaving things to sort out. The action takes place in Ormond, Canada, once a small, remote ski town with idyllic slopes, turned obsolete. Mount Ormond is now a soulful, deforested graveyard where gangs and teenagers go looking for trouble. Some people believe that the mountain hides a bottomless hole from where no one can return…
The chapter will be available on PC through Steam and other digital distribution channels and on PlayStation 4® and XBOX One.
The Darkness Among Us Chapter includes:
- 1 New Killer + Perks and Power — The Legion
- 1 New Survivor + Perks—Jeff Johansen
- 1 New Map—Mount Ormond Resort
- 1 Exclusive Item—Jeff’s In the Shadow of Death shirt
DEDICATED SERVERS
Dead by Daylight will be migrating from a peer-to-peer network to dedicated servers on all platforms by the end of summer 2019. This is the next logical step in ensuring the longevity of the game for the future. Going with dedicated servers will improve the stability and performance when connecting to a live match and will bring more flexibility.
“This has been the number one request from the community and we are excited to finally be able to make this announcement! We are also happy to announce that our team of programmers has already done a first successful internal test back in November. We still have a long way to go before fully migrating to dedicated servers and will keep you posted on our milestones as we progress.” said Mathieu Côté, Game Director, Dead by Daylight
