Space Hulk: Deathwing’s Enhanced Edition has expanded today with the new free DLC, “Infested Mines” on PC, with the PS4 version coming soon. This includes the massive Infested Mines map, which is playable in Solo Special Missions and Multiplayer Co-Op. It features more verticality than any map before it, and a wealth of twists, turns, and dark tunnels. This brings the total multiplayer map count of the game to eight, each with a massive amount of replayability on different difficulties and with various squad compositions. With improvements made to the general balance of the game as well as specific issues with AI Terminator team-mates, single-player and multiplayer games are improved substantially.
Players can also turn off the HUD, as of this update, and can give more difficulty to the game, and offer a more realistic feel in combat. This also can make for incredible footage in recording/live-streaming. Players can also look forward to bugfixes and other updates today. To celebrate this update, Space Hulk: Deathwing – Enhanced Edition will be 50% off on Steam until August 19th.

Good morning, Internet! It’s been a really slow week for Nintendo Switch news, but I do have some stuff to discuss since there aren’t many releases that I see! The biggest thing of the week for me is that Diablo III is coming to the Nintendo Switch! And it’s coming this fall, so they’ve clearly been working on it for a while now. It’s going to come with all of the content that’s out so far, so Necromancer, the expansion, all of that goodness is coming right to the Switch. My one query is if it’s going to have an offline mode for players that aren’t connected to Wifi/Hotspot/et cetera, and with the trailer, there are kids playing Diablo III in the car so I can’t help but wonder if that’s the case. I love playing ARPGs with a controller, and the Diablo III UI for console is much better than the one on PC. So I am quite excited, and hope we can get some hot Diablo action for the Switch on the streams and some fun content.
We also learned this week that Bossa Studios is releasing their incredible Surgeon Simulator on the Switch, the “Surgeon Simulator CPR (Co-Op Player Ready)”. It was teased back in July, but now we have all the confirmation needed. What I think is fascinating is that you can use the Joy-Cons for precise, surgical moves, or you can choose not to. I’m not big on motion controls so I’d probably avoid it, and I’m all-thumbs, so it would just be a terrible idea. It will come with all of the base game’s content, plus the teeth and eye transplants from the A&E editions, it will also have a (currently) highly-classified Alien Autopsy Mode as well! I never really got into the game, but I love the concept of it. It’s a more modern-day Operation, and that’s a board game I played a bunch of as a kid.
Manuel Samuel (8/16/2018): Manuel Samuel is a pretty interesting concept for a game. Samuel’s an obnoxious trust-fund baby who has never worked a day in his life. He receives the Yu-Yu Hakusho treatment and is blasted by a car! Death informs him that he can stay alive if he can do all of the most instinctive tasks manually for 24 hours. You have to make sure he walks, blinks, inhales, exhales and more for a whole day. This sounds infuriatingly difficult, and would probably be a hilarious game to see live-streamed. Manual Samuel features multiple game modes, including a Time-Attack high-score challenge and a Co-Op mode, in which two players collaborate to guide Samuel through the worst day of his life. The Nintendo Switch version of Manual Samuel will offer split Joy-Con support for local multiplayer, Accelerometer use and also – for Switch users only – exclusive digital comics about Death’s everyday struggles. Red’s Kingdom (8/16/2018): RisingStar Games released a fun puzzle game alongside studio Cobra Mobile, and it’s a single-player adventure puzzle title, which is certainly all-ages accessible. The Mad King Mac has not only kidnapped your father but also stole your golden nut! There are lots of puzzles to solve and evil-doers to do away with, as you adventure through the kingdom. There are nuts to collect, treasure to discover, and special powers to acquire in this unique and adorable world. It promises to be an interesting take on the Metroidvania genre of game. (9.99)
Real Bout Fatal Fury 2 (8/16/2018): There isn’t a whole lot to say about this: Fatal Fury 2 is an absolute classic. Released as a part of the ACA NEOGEO series from HAMSTER, this was originally launched by SNK back in 1988. Thi sis the 7th title in the Fatal Fury series, and was certainly a step up from previous releases. Rick Strowd and Li Xiangfei came as new characters, and the mighty, the powerful, the UNPREDICTABO Geese Howard makes his return to the series! It’s a faithful recreation of a classic fighter. (7.99)
