Nidhogg 2 Comes to Xbox One in July

Nidhogg 2 is coming to Xbox One, and it’s bringing two exclusive, new levels with it! Players will take the fight to Messhof Corporate Headquarters and the Elevated Train, filling out TPS reports using the fluids of your beaten enemies. Injecting terror into your daily commute is a small price to pay. Prepare for a simple game of tug-of-war, in which “simple” means “filled with sharp objects intended to puncture your enemies.” Stab, cleave and impale anyone that dares stand in your way as you seek glorious sacrifice to the wurm at the other end of the screen. Nidhogg 2 will bring new weapons, levels, customization, character customization options, alongside the grotesquely captivating art style of Toby Dixon. Nidhogg 2 is live on PC and Playstation 4 but is coming to Xbox One on July 19th. It’s also on the way to the Nintendo Switch in the future!

Join the Anti-Hipster Movement in ‘Hipster Attack’ This Summer

They’re coming to make beards and mustaches uncool and are girded in flannel shirts, brandishing their mix CDs. The hipster invasion is coming this summer, and Televisor has created “Hipster Attack”, for PC, iOS and Android. The Tower Defense game sees players doing battle with waves of “too-cool-for-you” hipsters, swarming the local coffee house. It’s up to you as the office manager to take ’em all down. From using HR reps to hurl job applications to adding resource-generating coffee makers, security guards and more, it’s a potential stand-out in the Tower Defense genre.

Hipster Attack Key Features:
  • Hipsters of all Shapes and Sizes: From the trendsetter, to poet, to the music master and …. the horrific being known only as flying tofu. The game abounds with a variety of hilarious hipsters to destroy!
  • Unconventional Weapons and Abilities: Use your HR reps to chuck job applications and wads of paper at the hipsters! Players can power up coffee makers to shoot donuts at incoming enemies, cast the ‘Statue of Hipsterity’ to freeze hipsters in place, or set an ‘urban trap’ filled with stylish sunglasses and hot espresso as bait.
  • Variety of Characters: Players start out with the junior HR employee, but as they progress through levels, they’ll get a higher level corporate team to take on the hipster onslaught. Utilize security guards, the logistics senior, and even the cleaning lady, to protect the coffee shop.
  • Built-In Tongue in Cheek: Use tons of different weapons to take down the incoming waves of moustache-twirling, vinyl spinning hipsters. Hit ’em so hard that it knocks their $200 second-hand-store 80’s era denim vests right off! In-game economy is based off of two types of resources: coffee and money. Coffee provides energy and cash is motivation for workers — what more do you need?

Bloodstained’s E3 Demo Available Now for Select Backers

Koji Igarashi’s gothic exploration-focused platformer done in the “Igavania/Metroidvania” style of gameplay, Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is one of the most funded games on Kickstarter, raising more than 5.5 million dollars by eager fans. ArtPlay has announced that a new beta demo is available to backers of the 60 dollar USD level and above as a digital download on Steam. New characters, enemies, and bosses will appear in this demo, starting on a sailing ship and progressing through a village and a dark, foreboding castle.

Set in the late 18th century England, an era when people’s lives changed dramatically with the ushering in of the Industrial Revolution, Bloodstained tells the story of Miriam, an orphan scarred by an alchemist’s demonic curse, which is slowly turning her skin into crystal. As the curse matures, Miriam drifts into a mysterious coma and awakens ten years later as a castle appears, and Hell is resurrected. Now, she must travel to the castle to hunt and kill its summoner, Gebel, battling his demons as she searches for a way to stop the curse.

“E3 is one of the biggest game shows in the world, and it was a valuable experience to show off the newest content in Bloodstained and gather feedback from the industry friends and colleagues we invited to play the demo,” said Koji Igarashi, creator ofBloodstained: Ritual of the Night. “Now we’re ready to share the newest content and features with our great community of backers so we can source their input as well, which is immensely helpful to us as we continue on our journey toward launch.”
