Stellaris to be the First Ever Grand Strategy Game on Console

Paradox Interactive announced that they are proud to push their games to the final frontier: Consoles. Stellaris, their sci-fi exploration strategy title will team up with Tantalus Media to launch on Playstation 4 and Xbox One consoles with Stellaris: Console Edition. This will be the first time a grand strategy title will hit console, bringing untold strategy, resource management, political intrigue, and depth. Both the regular version and deluxe version (which includes the Planetoids Species Pack, Leviathans Story Pack, and Utopia Expansion) will come with Stellaris version 1.7, with further rollouts of other DLC to follow soon after.

“Grand Strategy is often considered a niche genre even on the PC, but we believe that while a console audience exists, a game like Stellaris simply hasn’t made it to those platforms yet. With the help of Tantalus’ expertise, we’re happy to take that leap!” said Daniel Moregård, Game Director at Paradox Interactive. “Console players can look forward to the true Grand Strategy experience and continued DLC and support after launch with Stellaris: Console Edition.”

Space Hulk: Tactics Reveals Release Date

At Gamescom 2018, Space Hulk: Tactics announced that their faithful adaptation of the Space Hulk boardgame will come to Playstation 4, Xbox One and PC on October 9th. The two sides in this battle are the Empire of Mankind’s “Space Marine Terminators” who are genetically modified soldiers in powerarmor, geared to destroy anything in their path. The other side is the “Genestealers”, which are floating monstrosities who inhabit the smashed-together space hulks that float through space.
