Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus Expansion Announced

Warhammer Mechanicius Expansion Announced

Kasedo Games announced an expansion to the turn-based tactical Warhammer 40,000 game, Mechanicus, titled Heretek. Heretek exposes the dark underbelly of the Adeptus Mechanicus faction like never before and has new narrative events, handcrafted by Ben Counter once again. Players will uncover what created civil unrest in The Caestus Metalican, during its campaign at Silva Tenebris. There is a host of heretek Tech-Priests that have changed their beliefs and have forsaken the Omnissiah. It’s up to Magos Dominus Faustinius to manage an assault on the Necrons, while also being corrupted from within.

Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus: Heretek Features:

  • New Discipline to utilise: Unlock the Xenarite. A discipline that is specialised in using xenotech, a largely forbidden practice for those that follow the Omnissiah! Plus all new augments for you to customise the appearance of your Tech-Priest.

  • 5 new missions: Experience five new missions based in the Ark Mechanicus, each with a new delivery system for narrative. The choices you make will impact the battle for that mission.

  • New weapons to discover: Xeno-altered weapons open up devastating possibilities, coupled with support tech that opens up new play styles.

  • Two new Troops to command: Sicarian Infiltrators and Ruststalkers are now available to unlock. Pass through Necron and Heretek limbs alike with the Transonic Blades of the Ruststalker or take the stealthy route with the Infiltrators and spring an unexpected ambush.

  • New but familiar enemies to face: Face your fellow brother Tech-Priests in an internal conflict over Necron xenotech while also holding back the wakening of the Necrons.

  • New mission environment: Experience combat inside an Ark Mechanicus for the first time in Warhammer 40,000 history.

Second Hand: Frankie’s Revenge Launches in May 2019

Indie development team Rikodu is rolling out their multiplayer robotic combat title on Steam this May, Second Hand: Frankie’s Revenge. It arrives on May 28th, 2019, and players will craft their own makeshift Frankie bots, and begin a quest to cause a robotic, rebellious ruckus. Players will need to master the skill of bolting together scrap and send it into combat (solo or up to three allies locally/online), to slaughter alien-controlled robot renegades! Use whatever’s close to hand to build these robots, from Chainsaw arms, heavy fridge bodies, and so much more.

“We can’t wait to bring the gear-crushing carnage of Frankie’s Revenge to players,” said Rikodu’s Managing Director and Co-Founder Alexandru Palade. “We’re excited to see what kind of amazing creations players will come up with as they dive deep into Frankie’s junkyard that we will continue to expand with more modes and robot parts.”

“It’s been a long and exciting journey, but we’re all fired up about sharing the game with the world,” said Technical Director and Co-Founder, Radu Septimiu Cristea. “We’re sure fans of all skills and ages will have a blast building, experimenting with, and crushing robots while exploring the various stages and their secrets.”

Key Features:

  • Robot Crushing Combat: Frankie brings the thunder through challenging, satisfying, top-down perspective combat. Players must master unique part skills and devise strategies to survive the onslaught of vicious enemies such as Senior Cleaners, Formen, Boilees, or big, bad bosses, Juicy Joe and Le Kraque.
  • Customize Machines of Carnage: With dozens of parts to choose from, each with their own distinct look, attributes, and abilities, players can create a robot warrior to fit their own playstyle. Wack enemies with a tennis ball launcher, repair the damage quickly with a defibrillator head, tank for the team with a boiler body — anything to become the ultimate gear-crunching bot.
  • Home is Where the Microprocessor is: Strategize in The Hideout, the player’s personal headquarters. Players can deck it out in the finest scraps and junkyard treasures to give it that homely feel, perfect for conjuring up the most oil-thirsty revenge plots.
  • Teamwork Makes the Dream Work: Although the mass of mechanical meanies may seem daunting, local and online co-operative gameplay with up to four players helps cut them down to size with ease.

Red and The Deadly Sins Is a Metroidvania Based on ‘The Divine Comedy’

101XP is proud to publish the debut project of Chinese studio Diantong – Red and The Deadly Sins on PC via Steam. The team was inspired by Dante Alighieri’s Divine Comedy, and deep philosophical concepts – thus Red and The Deadly Sins was created. The game is a classic Metroidvania, where players delve to find secrets, platform and do battle with their sword or spear against enemies. Players will face off with personifications of the deadly sins and build up enough power to collect 12 memory fragments, for each of the seven ancient ghosts. The goal is to find out the truth behind these ghosts.

The protagonist of the game is called Ruby, and he is a regular fighter serving the Soul Cleansing Committee. His task is to free souls that were doomed by negative emotions. The Committee believes that these souls could destroy the world if there are too many of them. To prevent this, the Committee hires many fighters just like Ruby. This game is an interpretation of The Divine Comedy, and everything – from Red’s mask to traps in secret rooms and even the final bosses, have some sort of existential subtext, or social commentary. Early Access will begin today and players will receive access to the first three bosses.
