Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey Now Available on PC
Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey has arrived today on the Epic Game Store and is the debut title from Panache Digital Games. This studio, co-founded by Patrice Désilets (creative director of Assassin’s Creed) brings something genuinely unique to the video game sphere. In it, players will relive the early stages of human evolution, across a harsh, unforgiving world. The goal is to ensure their lineage continues on. Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey will also be available digitally for the Playstation 4, and Xbox One this December.
Players begin ten million years ago as an early hominid, our first known ancestor, swinging through the trees of a lush jungle full of dangerous predators like giant pythons, saber-tooth tigers, deadly alligators, as well as other beasts, and will need to master both their character in addition to their surroundings. Through carefully analyzing and discovering the environment, players will help ensure the survival of their clan by expanding the capabilities of their hominid. The player will have the choice in how to advance the neuronal network, offering a host of role-playing game elements that improve different abilities. These choices may allow the clan to advance motor functions, heighten their senses, enhance their intelligence, and unlock better communication amongst the tribe.
Patrice Désilets, Co-Founder/Creative Director of Panache Digital Games had this to say:
“I am extremely proud of what my team and I have accomplished with Ancestors. I wanted to make a game about evolution that would help remind us of our shared primal instincts. Once I thought of this concept, I could not shake this idea of struggling, trying to survive in this massive, dangerous world. Today is a great day because we can now share this game with the real world. It may be a difficult journey but hopefully you can survive just as our own ancestors did.”

Mikael Kasurinen, game director, Remedy Entertainment had this to say about Control:
“Control is our most ambitious game as a studio yet. We said early on this would redefine what a Remedy game is; giving our fans a more player-driven experience than we’ve ever created before, while still retaining the compelling worlds we’re known for. Everyone at Remedy is proud of what we’re delivering to players today and we look forward to continuing to expand on what we’ve built after launch as well.”

Conan Chop Chop Release Moved to Include Online Multiplayer
Funcom and Mighty Kingdom made an announcement today that the upcoming action-adventure roguelike Conan Chop Chop would be pushed back. The release date was changed to Q1 2020, to include a much bigger feature: online multiplayer. The first demo was very successful, so they want to add more features to make it a more robust, full experience.
Philip Mayes, CEO of Mighty Kingdom had this to say:
“We had an absolute blast showcasing the game at E3 and Gamescom earlier this year. It was especially gratifying to see how much fun people had playing the game in co-op mode. The teamwork, the banter, the way people moved ever so sneakily towards their near-death companions in order to pick up their gold when they fall… We couldn’t have been happier with the reception.
“One of the things we get to do with the extra time is expand multiplayer from just couch co-op to also include full online multiplayer. This has undoubtedly been THE most requested feature after we started showing off the game, so we’re very excited for the opportunity to bring that in.”

Players will gather magical essence across the world, and combine elements to enchant their weapons. This will also aid in resource harvesting and beast taming. Spellcasting is an essential part of the Citadel world, where you make a variety of wands, staves, axes, swords, maces, hammers and gauntlets a focus for your magical power.
