Dragon Quest Builders 2’s Free Demo Launches Today

Square Enix released a free demo today for Dragon Quest Builders 2, which can be played on the Playstation 4. This demo lets the player create a boy or girl builder, and includes two parts from the game – this includes the Tutorial and Isle of Awakening areas. A taste of the gameplay and this incredible story can be experienced, as the builder does battle with the Children of Hargon in order to bring creation and light back to the land. Dragon Quest Builders 2 will launch officially on July 12th, 2019.

Killsquad Reveals Deranged Support – Zero the Sawbones

Killsquad releases the next in their tutorial series today, with the fourth hero, Zero. Zero is a former Medical Combat Robot, who joins the bounty hunter crew of Killsquad. Zero has empathy circuits that were wired wrong, which resulted in reckless, psychopathic behavior – and murder. An offensive support, he can heal his allies, and murder his enemies. He uses laser attacks to blast several foes at once, and the more damage he does, the more his healing kits can recover.

Total War: Three Kingdoms’ ‘Reign of Blood’ Effects Pack is Live

China’s fields will run red with blood as the Reign of Blood Effects Pack hits Total War: Three Kingdoms. It will introduce quite a few new gory and mature effects, animations, and kill moves to both Campaign and Battle, so both modes will feature a cavalcade of violence. The Reign of Blood Effects Pack is 2.99, and the effects can be enabled in the “Advanced Graphics” settings.

Cyberpunk 2077 Announces Cosplay Contest

CD PROJEKT RED announced a Cyberpunk 2077 cosplay contest, where crafters will create the most authentic cosplay of an existing Cyberpunk 2077 character. Competitors may use any official CD PROJEKT RED trailers, gameplay videos, screenshots and arts to use as a reference. CD PROJEKT RED will also reveal character guides soon. Any who wishes to participate can submit an entry online via this link or attend one of the offline qualifiers. These will be held at major gaming shows around the world, listed below:

  • gamescom (Cologne, Germany), Aug. 21-24
  • PAX West (Seattle, USA), Aug. 30-Sep. 2
  • Tokyo Game Show (Tokyo, Japan), Sep. 12-15
  • Igromir (Moscow, Russia), Oct. 3-6
  • Paris Games Week (Paris, France), Oct. 30-Nov. 3

A total of 10 contestants — 5 finalists of the online qualifiers and 5 winners of offline qualifiers — will meet in a grand finale set to take place live and on stage. There they’ll compete for the lion’s share of the $40,000 prize pool and a chance to appear on the cover of a premier entertainment industry magazine, among other prizes. The exact date and location of the event will be revealed early next year.

The Surge 2 – Dev Gameplay Walkthrough

The Surge 2 is on the way to Playstation 4, Xbox One and PC on September 24th, but their devs put together a new gameplay walkthrough. Narrated by Adam Hetenyi of Deck13 Interactive, you can see massive levels and the brutal combat that comes with The Surge 2. They also show off the improved bosses, as players go through Jericho City, and its parks/suburbs.

Players who pre-order The Surge 2 at participating retailers will receive the URBN Gear Pack DLC for free, which includes an armor set, two weapons, one drone, one module, and a bonus online message icon (check listings for local availability). The Surge 2 Limited Edition is also available for pre-order, including an exclusive lenticular cover, an 8-page comic book, a massive double-sided poster and three lithographs. The Limited Edition is available from select retailers worldwide.
