The main thing is I'm a little leery about it turning into a sort of Final Fantasy esque adventure tail, plus, the absence of blood, entirely (I don't consider explosions of light, or whatever else they do to be gore) a little bit of dare I say, a turn off? Now I'm not a maniac about gore or what not (sometimes I am ) it's just no visual aid in a fight, such as blood, kind of makes it seem geared towards children, and takes the entirely realistic approach out of it. So eh, just my two cents I guess, but that's why I'm not considering it to be great or what not. Plus, I'm a born and raised westerner, nearly every american comic has either excessive gore, explicit content, and a little of both. So I guess not seeing it entirely is a lot different or something like that. I'm surprised onemanga closed down, that was one of the better manga scanning sites out there, it's a shame, but oh well.
Ah, your welcome. Yesterday, I went to dinner (and played video games, like today ). Aah-aah, simply deducting it as "not the greatest anime out there" after two episodes will soon be regrettable. Well, it only gets better and better. After all, since it was based off of a video game, the intro will in fact be slow. It was a way of introducing the game to the player(s), so you have to be a little patient. Yeah, I've recently reached a slump too (stupid closure of onemanga.com). Well, I do have Alice Academy to finish up, as well as Arc the Lad anime, and check out other animes I left off on...well, I'm just running out of manga, really. xD Your welcome.
I just wanted to thank you again for recomending a fairly interesting anime, Tales of the Abyss. Before yesterday I hadn't even looked into the anime whatsoever even after your recomendation (stupid video games ) but by some twist of fate I went onto my computer and looked it up, I ended up watching the first episode and most of the second (before my dad kicked me off the computer). It maybe isn't the greatest anime out there, as seeing that there's sos many, but that fact is that I haven't had any anime or manga to watch read, respectively, in a long time. So in fact, you saved me! Or at least saved me from my last little bit of summer being boring. So for that, I thank you.
Yay! It is an interesting anime, so I will be shocked if you find it boring or the likes. I'm happy to be of service. ^-^ Hope you enjoy it (hopefully as much as I did). Remember, it's based off of a RPG, so there will be many places to visit and bosses to defeat. Hope that won't bother you. :o
Well, I am into anime, and the brief overview seems fairly interesting. I'll definitely check it out seeing as that I haven't had very much anime to watch recently. Thanks for the recommendation.
I know I don't talk with you much, but you seem to be into anime, so I thought I would tell you about the anime I became fascinated with (and finished just awhile ago). It's called Tales of the Abyss, based on a LONG (70 hours or so of gameplay), but amazing RPG (PS2). It starts off with your classical rich brat named Luke (18), who fits that title in every way of the word. Due to a kidnapping that led to him losing all his memories of his family seven years ago, Luke is basically locked away in his manor until his coming-of-age ceremony (20). The story picks up when a female named Tear visits and, after an incident occurs, he is faced with the dangers of the real world. The characterization is well-done and I guarantee your view on everyone will change over the course of the anime. If you want a link (if you can't find it), I'll give it to you (if you are interested).
If he was outside your door, and he was shot on the right side of his head, then he was facing North. So yeah, North. Btw, I have a feeling that "Survival" is slowly dying. Right before it actually started too. Oh, and that doesn't mean I've given up on it. I'm still going to keep going with it.
I have a question about "Survival". Okay, the German guy collapsed outside of Aria's door, so I was wondering if there was suppose to be a particular position he was facing?
Totally understandable, I've tried that multiple times. Or I take inspiration from something, like a video game, or movie, and then I work with it, and tailor it until I have an idea to post. It doesn't always work, but then again, you could get a great idea from something like that. xD
Oh, I know the feeling of posts becoming a chore. When that happens, I try to think about my character more and the events around them. Usually, I come up with stuff on the whim, but other times I think about my character(s) in the shower, while washing dishes, sleeping, etc. Descriptive posts are good, but sometimes you just have to understand the psyche of your character before you post. Otherwise, you end up caring more about everything around your character and they end up having little to no existance. :o
