Well, it turned out to be 30 minutes instead of 15 minutes. The conference is 15 minutes late O.O. They said it's going to be sharp 90 minutes long which means I get to sleep around 5 AM.. Well, looks like "tomorrow" I'll get up after 3 PM at earliest!
Yup, the footage from Mass Effect 3 is pretty interesting. What surprised me though is that the HUD is exactly the same as in ME2, also the graphics seemed very similar. Of course there's still 9 months before it's release but it's still odd. BioShock 2 really suffered from being too similar to the first one.. We'll see. The voice recognition was something I first thought like "That's the worst idea ever". In the end though, it's a neat feature to have ^^. It just proves how much variety the Kinect has. Still 15 minutes before Sony ^^. There was some new stuff about Deus Ex: Human Revolution. I've never been into the series but the gameplay footage really interested me, I might try it.. once I get a better computer. The Kinect stuff with Ghost Recon was really cool O.O. Assembling your own weapon through hand gestures and voice is pretty awesome but the way you use the weapon in-game looked.. awkward at best.
Aha ah well. At least we've switched over now ^^. I just watched some gameplay of Mass Effect 3, and it looks really exciting, the voice recognition is a step up, however I'm afraid they won't delve deep enough into it to augment the franchise even further, but it is definately a step in the right direction! I just saw a trailer for the new ghost recon game too, although I was excited for it first, I'm really not too bothered about it now for some reason :/. Not long left until you get your sony press conference! I cannot wait to see the AC gameplay and some Skyrim ^^. EDIT: Now that they are showing gameplay through the use of kinect, I'm really excited again (for ghost recon that is).
Good idea with VMs about E3 ^^. Gecko is probably going to blow a few fuses because of our chat about it.
PART III/III Yes, it's possible for Ashley to be in the underground dungeon. Ethan, Jansen and Thomas are definitely not the only ones (Hint: Ethan is named as Subject #217). So yeah, there's plenty of patients there. There are four, who are still alive, who have been there since Joachim became the manager. There's a requirement in order to get there though: You need to have unlocked your Psyche-Locks and gained the ability to transform into your Psyche-Form. Time to start brainstorming when that happened ^^. Yeah, I agree. We should move these to private messages ^^.
PART II/III No problem there ^^. The important thing is that you like your character. Yes, I had that kind of thing in mind actually, about the illness I mean. Last time you had the freedom to describe the illness your character had in the History part but this time around it could be a new section all together. Ah, so something shocking happened before Ashley(Lurked around ^^) became another patient in Happy Home? That's usually the way you end up in a mental facility. The same goes with Ethan though he didn't change his perspective on the whole world, instead just his parents. Haha, already finished with your CS? Mm.. Yes, I know you're going to tweak him at some point. I'll take a wild guess and say his appearance changes twice at least ^^.
PART I/III No, there was no testing chamber but now there is! Haha, yes the testing chamber was originally(back during World War II) a torture chamber so it sure is dark. Most of the torturing devices have been taken away but a fraction of them were left there and modified a bit to suit Von Weiss' needs. Ah, yes, Thomas is truly like a lab rat. Funny how I hadn't thought of a testing chamber. Oh yes, there is no doubt some sort of change in Ethan after spending a decade in such a place. I just need to find the right "amount" of dark I put in him.. if you have any idea what I mean by that ^^. Ah, yes, about Jansen.. I'll bounce this off you, see what you think ^^. Would you be interested in letting Jansen to become Joachim's "Left Hand"? (His Right Hand is of course Thomas). Even if the idea doesn't suit your needs, I thought Joachim would still try to turn Jansen into his Left Hand.
Oh, and also, would it be possible for my character to be located in this underground sector of Happy Home as well? I have an interesting idea for him that would play specifically to the construction of his character, but if you had other ideas in mind that is okay, I can always tweak it, it would only need tweaking mildly! . Just looking at these VM's makes me feel that in future we should take this to private messages >.<. Too freaking long!! . Its hard to have heated discussions with the barriers of word limits getting in the way all the time aha.
But yeah, my character will most utterly be a dark one, not as morbid and dark as Jansen was, but he will be dark, sort of like...The Dark Knight dark? Still moral in his decisions as a person, but still, an event before the incarceration took place made him change his complete perspective on the world and how he perceived it before. I've got most of the CS written out already, all I have to do is add in his background and he is set, I will most likely, like always, tweak the character before and during the release of Happy Home 2 until he becomes a believable character that I myself can grow to love, seeing as he will be an extension of me.
Sadly, I don't think I will write an exact replica of Alice, I've already began writing my character sheet, and I got so carried away that he only slightly resembles American Magee's Alice, although I didn't want him to be an exact replica to begin with, I wanted my character to be inspired by Alice. Anyway, that may sadly mean we won't meet the devious Cheshire Cat haha. I don't think I will implement the animals anymore. I'm quite liking where I'm going with my character at the moment, he's going to be a very exciting character, he’s going to have some mild form of psychosis disorder and another illness, oh, but that reminds me. In the new character sheets are you going to make it possible what illness it is that we have? I was just wondering because we are mental patients, and all our characters have to have a flaw in their personalities which led them to becoming incarcerated to Happy Home.
