I can't run Halo either, but I can run Half-Life 2 on Lowest resolution, DX 8, and medium graphics. As long as you have at least a 1ghz processor, 256mb RAM, and 32 mb vRAM, you should be able to play on DX 7 with all low.

Since you have a shitty computer, you should play Half-Life 2. I run it with 64mb Intel card.
