Hellgate london didn't do successful and got sold off by flagship.
Anyway I remember theres some games like sven co-op (for hl1) and synergy or obsidian conflict for HL2. Those are all co-op mods where you have to cooperate with each other to complete maps and fight. Theres also rpg mods within sven co-op where you can lvl up and increase stats not so sure if theres any for synergy or OC. I still play sven co-op and think its a classic thought because of its vast amount of maps and custom content ranging from mario to resident evil maps.
These are not mmos in any way but can hold up to 32 ppl on a single map.
Well anyway, I'm trying out synergy and obsidian conflict again because im bored as well. I liked obsidian more because the game is built more towards co-op play while synergy is more you need a group to kill and not other things like solving puzzles in OC. Theres also a cash system in oc where you can go to a merchant and buy new guns and ammo but thats only on some maps.
