MS and DragonGem (read dis)

ok to settle this bs in the forum once and for all. DRAGON GEM IS NOT A COPY OF MAPLE STORY , infact , dragongem korean was made first before any version of ms was ever released , look into the games release dates im sick and tired of people thinking its a copy , if anything , maple story is a copy off of korean dragongem , with updated graphics and technically the same game engine

for god sakes , please stop dissing up a perfectly good free mmorpg , its made , quit complaining , play what you want , dont give us your opinions , please and thank you.

you go boy/girl, thanks for clearing it up. but people will always see a 2D game and call it a maplestory wannabe. Watch when Ghost online is released.

On topic: waffo before you start flaming someone about their grammar be sure you type grammar well also. Just because he doesn't want to use proper grammar, doesn't mean he is only 7 years old... ITS CALLED THE INTERNET. If you want to know when Dragongem was released look it up. Just so you know you could've played Dragongem before July 10th. Think before you start flamming or you will always lose the fight.

My grammar isn't perfect, but it's readable.

I can't be stuffed looking dragongem up, it would be in korean anyway. I don't speak korean. This guy seems to think it came out more than 5 or 6 years ago.

I know I could've played dragongem before july 10th. I seriously doubt that ButPirate has played it before though. It is the INTERNET and people like ButPirate go around making groundless statements.

Dude, you just joined this month also, compared to some of the other people on this forum, you haven't even left a dent on their loyalties. And don't say you've lurked, because more than half of these members lurked at one time or another.

Anyway, it is possible that this game came out after Maple, highly possible. Because the main website at Zemiinc says nothing at all about an older release date for the game , and the english website doesn't help either. And based upon where you got that tid bit of information, it could just be a falsified date. But on a higher note, DG is definately not an MS clone. GamePlay mechanics are way different, so are the graphics and sound (imo, DG's gfx and sound are better than that of MS'), the grind is much lower, meaning you don't take 2-3 hours trying to move up a level, skills must be bought, etc, etc. And if I remember correctly, a clone is an exact copy. So if either of the two were made before the other, it's obvious that developers just expanded, and built upon the idea of the original. Not just copy it.

And it was the second.

I didnt say how long i've been reading the forums. and yes super mario is the original and zelda came on the first portable game system. oh ya, I almost forgot, The game has a Copyright on it meaning if you copy it you will be fined or even go to jail. A better use of the word '' Copy '' " Wannbe " would be.

I guess so but in this case it doesn't make any sense.

Dis means "dissing" which is an African American Vernacular slang word for disrespect.

The grind feels worse than Maple somehow..You're just made to grind on different monsters each level (so you won't be doing 10 levels on the same monster like in maple (zombies))... and there's annoying delay and missing system going on...

perfectly good free mmorpg? *pukes* anyways dragongem was in development at 2004 october it went in development after 1~2 years maplestory started to be developed -_-; i wonder where in the world you got that info? lol it even came out in gamespot.co.kr maplestory 4/26/03

Okay, now what else is similar, if you say classes, you are honestly ******ed, Warroir, Archer, Wizard, and Thief are in about EVERY game nowadays so don't say that BS. Pet's? They are totaly different, Maple Story = Useless, Costs money, for looks. Dragon Gem = Tame them, Ride them. Please do tell me some other similarities because I doubt you'll find slim to none.

no seriously... the only times u shuld argue about grammar on the net is when the msg is completely un-readible. If the grammmar isn't totally correct but still readible then theres no reason to flame the author of the msg about his/her grammar. In all honesty, i found the author's msg readible and i completely understood what he was trying to say..... the person who started to comment on his/her grammar in an offensive way needs a kick in the nuts ( if they got any ) and a slap over the head cause all they're trying to do is start a flame war which is something we DON'T need any more of in this forum.

I'm not crying about grammar. I like to read writing that I can understand without having to re-read it twice or in your case, three times to clearly understand what is being said.

err what was wrong with his grammar? i didnt have to read that twice or even look over anything twice to fully understand what he was saying. anyways we arent in school here so who really cares?
