I always wanted to ply this game, is it nooby friendly? And how s the community?
The game gives you a pretty nice tutorial, and most people will help you if you ask for it. You will find a lot of people in dungeons are AFKing, but if you find a nice clan (i have one =D) or a nice group chat (again, I have one) You'll always have a nice selection of people to talk to. World chat is also a good way to find answers, it costs 2k in game money, not cash shop money, to use one world chat. Cash shop items, since i already brought up the word cash shop, are mostly tradable. Anything you truly need in the game is tradable, extra stuff that isn't tradable isnt....a necessity.
i played i loved it but it sucks when ur new cuz u wont get colonies all the higher lvl raids are usually takin by the better clans.. uhh ya i was in a fairly good clan not to bad could have gotten into the one or ceres if i kept playin gave like 300mil away when i quit :-/ lol i tryed startin back up due to many people askin me but i couldnt even do it lol
I had been thinking about trying the game for a long time. Donwloading it now, looks alright. I had heard bad reviews though
what lvl do i need to get grim and that crossbow girl?
I don't remember :) It came out and I was like heck I'll try it. And my download failed and I didn't know if I should bother trying again so I looked up reviews and everyone seemed to dislike it so I didn't bother
I played this game when it first came out (The IAH version) and then I got bored of it. By looking at Calypso makes me want to try it out again. What level do you get her?
Yep, 50 mysterious powders.
The grim reaper dude is recommended at level 100 or above, but can probably be done before that, your crossbow person is recommended at around 90ish.
You can always buy the peoples cards for in game money. People sell them =D
^ Aww damn. It is probably going to cost a lot. =X I like Calypso. She seems interesting to play with.
You can buy those in game, 350k vis per 1 powder. It can be expensive, but, if you're like me, you can wait =D
There's a lot of character options, I just posted a few of the many many manyyyy options you have =D
i played the IAHgames (uh malaysian ver? i forget) version awhile back, it was an alright game but...
lv 1 - 30ish = easy, fun, medium grind
lv 30 - 40 = what the hell happened to the fun? INCREDIBLY SLOW HOLY CRAP.
lv 40+ = AFK AND BOTTING GAMES (well for my brother, he got much farther)
30 - 40 pretty much killed the game for me. yeah i know the endgame rewards (bigger, harder, holy-shit-what bosses) and the stances concept was pretty decent, but the grind is insane imo.
hell, you could leave your group on botting mode if you knew the right location to leave em and the right combination of stances and classess. only problem with botting is that if your character gets knocked back/down, then your group is pretty much dead.
I'll be joining tomorrow once I get it downloaded and installed.
GamersFirst version isn't like that.
1-49 is easy
50-60 is hard
60 and on is pretty easy.
You can AFK level, or bot, a lot of people do, and a lot of people don't.
I do, overnight and while at school. When I'm home, I'm actually playing the game and everything. If you get knocked down, it doesn't always make you stop attacking. Sometimes it will, not all the time.
if u think sword is grindy you really havent played many mmos... i can go a whole new team.. i did viki claude and uhh vince.. to vet in 5 days.. 5 days.. and that wasnt 24/7 play if it was it was be 3-4.. its not hard at all to lvl infact sword=200% exp up for ever.. korean granado is only 100%.. agn if u think sword is grind dont play games..
Alright, I've decided to pick up this game again. Currently downloading, it's gonna take awhile. I'm not sure what my family's name is, I'll repost when I remember.
another company hosts SotNW? what happened to the other one? (K-something network...hosted warrock as well)
i think its a fine game, graphics are marvelous, but my gripe with it is the gameplay. the botting, especially early in the game, kills the idea of gameplay as there is none.
leaving the game to play the game for you = what.
leaving the game to grind for you = okay, but when do i play?
the endgame = perfectly fine, but to work your way to it is the problem.
i remember just watching my group, for an hour, fight in one section of the map while moving through several points. the only highlight was when i was actually called upon to used their skills when my elementalist destroyed those mob-spawning barrels (or bot killers). after that, another hour of watching...
Is it low spec?
I am thinking of trying it if I can run it on my rig.
Client's too big :x Someone please tell me more about this game before I actually download it
if you have an onboard graphic chipset (whatever those pieces of crap are called):
you can possibly run it on low if your computer was made in 2004ish. had an old HP pavilion run it on medium on IAHgame's cbt of it, was surprised it could even reach high...but then came open beta and graphic enhancements.
youtube search videos with its original name: Granado Espada.
Grind hard in this game? I've seen some people grind from 1 to 100 within 2 days While others can make it from 1 to expert withing a week.
Its the opposite, grinding is easy but at end game there isnt much to do but to compete with "Bots" and factions/brigs that dominates the servers.
If you dont have time to play mmorpgs for 8 hours a day this game is for you.
However, be prepare to pay a lot of money cause this is what this game is about
$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$'s
Oh did they fix the x-trap patch thing? Last time I tried it, the x-trap wouldn't let me go on so yeah.
i might try it again, but I doubt my comp would run it. :-/
EDIT: aw man, so many GB...
played the game and quit. theres pretty much NOONE under lvl 80 in the game. i lvled to 52 and saw absoulutely no one around my level to party up with and to do the little instances with . everyone you see WILL be either a vet or an expert. quite sad.... only good thing about it is that you can easily do sigmund and bosses anytime u want to... also the economy in this game si fuked up beyond belief. everything in the game is priced so ****ing high! when i played the malyasian version( quit when Ob cause they said it was gonna be p2p) everything was like 40-50k, u know reasonable prices. but people are offering like 300m for all kinds of bullshit lol. im like wow, ill never be able to get any of that stuff. i had like 300k to my name. Play granado espada instead of SOTNW if you must. granado VA's sound 100x better and are more appropiate for theera this game takes place.... they have american voice actors in SOTNW when i 1st played it im like wot the fuk? everything sounded so out of place.
Sword of the New World was fun..but then I just..didnt have enough features to keep me going.
Quest -> Grind 250 things -> Turn In -> Repeat.
Woop-de-doo! Thats so fun!
Before you ask, I quit at level 59-60ish
It was alright but I didn't like the fact that my character could one hit kill everything in sight even if the monster was several levels higher then me. Also when I'm in town I expect to actually see people, I only seen 1 or 2 people running around in town in this game :-/
i play on the non-baron server
lvl 72 family
GOD DAM YOU now you've made me wanna play it again, I'll join you ASAP but i forgot my family name so ill re-post later or ill make a new one :S
AL-Qezweny
Hmm. I haven't played SOTNW in such a long time.
I might play again.
