Is there a difference between buying an actual copy of a game from a store and buying from STEAM?
with steam you just buy the game and download/install it
you have it permanetly on your steam account.
You can re-dl it on any computer.
However, buying it from a store makes you have the actual CD.
But once you activate the game within Steam, you can grab the files from Steam instead if you ever lose your disk.Quote:

A lot of games can't be activated over Steam though. For instance, my copy of CoD4 can't be activated through Steam since I bought it at EBGames.Quote:
