Um question, wouldn't something bad happen if the laptop became preinstalled with vista 64-bit and he installed XP? I mean I'm not sure but wouldn't most of his programs not function or something because it needs vista?

vista preinstalled and you want to install xp...
without using a guide the xp install will say the hdd isnt found or something like that
so if you have vista preinstalled and want to have xp, google it up
not to forget, the only thing you really need to setup is your region/country and keyboardlayout
maybe the internet setup, but i forgot the reason when you needed to do that
Okay, well I got BSOD'd trying to install XP. If anyone doesn't mind telling me how to install XP into a preinstalled Vista, please do. Otherwise, I'm googling it up right now.
wipe hdd completely from vista
boot win cd from bios, set boot priority to boot dvd drive first, rest after that
install xp from there

Okay, so I'm booting the disk and this pops up after its loading all these windows things.
(Right after it says Windows is loading or loading windows or something.)
