It's called the Iron Cross. It was originaly the symbol for the Teutonic Knights, and latter adapted by the Prussian army as a Military Award. Hitler revived it in 1939 as a German military Decoration. So while it didn't start off as a Nazi sign, it became one.
Amazing what you can learn off of wikipedia, eh?
Its also awesome that anyone ahs the power to edit what wikepedia has =P
Wikipedia is always right. lolol
No, but, Wikipedia is a great tool, but should not be readily relied on. I wouldn't know what to search for on that sign. Thanks for informing me, Arcteryx.
No Nazi sign. Its the sign of the "Knights Templar"

its not just a german medal it was also a medal for the french i belive. its a common symbol not a nazi symbol hitler did not revive it that would be a false look at world war one it was a germand medal then too its just most people today dont know a thing about WWI.i belive the nazi iron cross had a swastica on it.and another thing most people see the entire german army as nazi this is mostly a false the SS is the main nazi unit as the war crimes tribunal shows(well not so much) but they were like hittlers personal army wermchart (ecscuse the spelling) was an older part of the army as i have talked to WWII vets some said that if there was no war they could see being their friend.
