Top Ten Games That Should Be MMOs

MMORPG.com Managing Editor Jon Wood counts down the Top 10 video games that should be made into MMOs.

The game World of Warcraft has become synonymous with the MMORPG genre, and why shouldn't it? The game's subscriptions numbers speak volumes, its boxes dominate shelves in video game stores, TV shows parody it while its commercials run on another channel. The reasons for WoW's dominance in the video game industry are many and varied and could be debated for hours. One thing that can not be argued though is that Warcraft's popularity as a pre existing video game franchise played a role.

With that in mind, MMORPG.com presents a list of the top ten video games that should be made into MMOs:

I only agree with #10. It would be so easy to make it an MMO. Also, .hack// should be up there xP

lol.. I think that list sucks.. they pretty much just got games that are popular and said they should be MMORPGs..

My list would be...

Pokemon
Monster Rancher
Medabots (I love medabots...)
Savage 2
Diablo 2
Age Of Empires (lol I know that put that on there list and I have actually thought of age of empires mmorpg before.. I love age of empires lol)

and.. to prove the list sucks even more is that pokemon wasnt on the list.. Everyone knows a pokemon mmorpg would be really really popular..

So many games that should be there that aren't.

Bleach would make an awesome mmorpg. As would DBZ. .Hack, monster rancher, diablo, tales of abyss/vesperia and pokemon just ta name a few.

You guys know there is a Monster Rancher MMO right? It's unfortunately not in English though, under the name "Monster Farm".
I'd sure as hell go for a Medabots or Pokemon MMO, feel like I'm outgrowing that stuff but nostalgia brings me back.

Grand Theft Auto. I always wanted a gang MMORPG where you could sell drugs, buy prostitutes, rob places and kill everybody. Well, who wouldn't?

I don't really understand how they could make starcraft an MMO but a kingdom hearts mmo COULD be great... but I doubt it will ever happen :(
