I've been on roads like that in west virginia. Those roads kinda reminds me of a Need For Speed game though.
There's a road like that in Ecuador. When I went down there a few years ago, we went on a bus ride from Atacames to some beach and crosses this road. There were crosses everywhere and even though there was hardly any breathing room between the bus and the drop, he didnt even bother slowing down >.> Needless to say my mind was wandering to grim thoughts.
There was a road exactly like that on a mountain in Spain, when we went and walked out the car to look down you could see the little village our grandma lived in, it was crazy scary, especially with my crazy uncle driving like 70~85 MPH.
