They probably used whatever sprite base they could that would easily allow them to steal animations from DnF.
Considering the quality of cDNF, just about any cheap knockoff they came up with would attract players to their "new" game.
It looks alright.
atleast there's male mages.
games with no class system are stupid. everyone becomes the same tankmage healer.
It's Little Fighter 3. Except without double-jumps.
Seems like a pretty cool game.
The game really does seem to copy a lot from d&f while lacking a lot of what made d&f fun. Judging from the videos, the skills themselves look pretty bland and something about them just looks ugly (probably the fact that most of them seem to be ripped out of d&f, recolored, and barely animated). z00m mentioned earlier from his experience with the game that "The fighting is a bit choppy, combos don't go smooth at all" and just looking at the videos it seems like enemies barely react to anything and the skill selection itself looks like its made purely with individual skill effects in mind instead of combo possibilities.
Also, I noticed from one of the videos that they even stole the "style, technique, hit" system, parts of the town mimic d&f's town, and it does the zoom in + slow down thing when bosses die. The music just seems very boring to me in general. The fact that you can customize your character a little at creation seems like a nice touch, but since the customization still seems pretty limited and since appearance options don't seem to change between the four 'classes', I suspect it causes less variety in appearance later on.
Still, if nothing else it seems like it may at least be a half-decent game to kill time with when not playing d&f itself, but I think I'd choose Dragonica or a few other games as a side-game first.
