I need help buying new laptop / notebook w

Ok here is my situation:
I'm getting a new laptop for graduation, something that I can use for college for four years or so. I'm studying studio art currently for a year and transferring after a year to an art school for animation and film. Alot of people have been telling me to get a new macbook pro.This would be a really hard switch since I have been using pc for such a long time and because I also game and torrent alot! I'm making sure that there is hope for me using a pc! Can anybody give me a suggestion? I don't really have a price range.

You can't go wrong with getting a Mac book, but if you insist on getting a PC, read this article.
