Wooooooooot
3 more months...
Hmm. A day before my birthday.
i think the aion privat server will be runing sooner >_> lol
Aion has 2 races, both of which looks like regular humans. IMO this is not acceptable for a Pay-2-Play MMORPG being released in 2009.
Lol, pre-order the game and make an Asmodian, you can make them look like devils/demons if you want to. But your arguement doesn't make any sense at all, because it's a P2P game it has to have lots of races? Go back to WoW.
The game has more customization than wow >_> even without more races.
How much will this game cost per month? Do we know?
$15/12€/9£ iirc
I still want to know why everybody is excited for this garbage. Hell, even WoW is better than it and that's saying A LOOOOOOOOOOOOOT.
Go and die in a fire.
I'm strangly looking forward to this even though it looks like the generic F2P crap (but extremly pretty crap) and I think I get into beta as TR died.
So hopefully I get access to Open Beta the digital client (though I'll buy the disc anyway) and 1 month free.
Lol I enjoyed every minute of the beta weekend and i love the crafting system in Aion. WoW however..... was just a piece of junk imo, i had to force myself to even get to 20 and just ragequit the game. Even gave it like 3 tries but it always made me question what kind of people seriously play this game >_>
given the insane amount of customziation in Aion, you can pretty much create your own race.
Where i came from, we call you a fanboiQuote:
Where I come from, we call that a FANBOI
Aion has 0 story. In fact, I went to the bathroom while the "movies" played. I don't even know what the hell was going on. SOmething about becoming a 'daeva' or whatever and only flying where there are irradiated rocks. I stopped trying after the minute i started playing the game. I just started killing animals that I have to kill for absolutely no reason.
To the person you said things about races, you can make yourself tall and edit your ears into elvish ones. That's what I did =P
Are they doing a free OB like the other version?
I hope so.
Aion is a great game, and no matter what style of game it is people will ALWAYS compare it to wow. I really wish people would just stop with the same stupid conversation everytime a new game comes (" this game is awsome cuz wow sucks" , "nuh uh! wow is better", "nuh uh! wow sucks" over and over and over)
While thier is a lot of WoW fanboi's, mindless wow haters are no better, and bring wow into the conversation just as much as fanboys(if not more).
As for Aion, the game is pretty fun, and i plan on playing it the day it releases. However, i'm predicting that it takes the same route as Warhammer did. It got tons of hype, and was getting close to 1 mill subs, then suddenly flopped after the first month. Hopefully it can keep on strong, but i have a feeling this will happen.Hype is evil!:(
Edit: What i mean by Warhammer flopping, is that it's subcription base took a giant drop, although it does still have a lot of members and is a petty good game.
WoW is boring as all hell at those levels. It's one of it's major flaws. I also had to force myself to play, but once u get into, do instances, pvp, etc its much better. I only played cause my max level friend was guiding me. Soon enough i saw the glory in it. So basically the kind of ppl that play it are prolly the ppl with the most patience. But theres almost 12mil subscribers so there is no way to accurately stereotype them. Plus, many of these "WoW players" are in the games you know and love. WoW has introduced millions of ppl to the mmo world. But ya there is no way u'd have any kind of accurate perception of the kind of game WoW truly is, cause u got to lvl 20, and prolly still didnt know what you could do at that point.
AND WHERE THE HELL DID OP MENTION WOW?! MrTingTing, you fail on that accord.
Because the people who complain about Aion are mostly WoW fanboys.
Your comeback fails btw.

Trust me, reading fucking helps.Quote:
Prolly gonna sound like a fanboi, but whatever...
No game will replace WOW. I sometimes find other games to distract me for awhile, but the quality of them never compares to WOW at all. It's just too loaded with content and too polished at this point. I've played it on and off since launch day back in november of 2004. And still there is plenty of content I've not even experienced, not even played as a horde yet(well not past the newb stages anyway)
And they keep pulling me back in. Patch 3.2 is looking so damn good. I hate you Blizzard.
How much is the P2P rate?
O, silly me. I didnt know you were omniscient and you know everyone who says everything about anything. Thats cute. I guess people also can't have their opinions. Pretty sexy imo. The fact that ur a "fanboy" (oo what an insult) of Aion, does not make everyone who doesnt like ur precious un-released game a fanboy of something else, nor does it mean something is wrong with them. They can have their opinions.
Now all i was saying from the beginning is that u mentioning WoW (which should be illegal in threads that have nothing to do with WoW) caused all this comparison and stir-up in the thread. No duh, not rele a big deal, but its still pretty fail.
I agree. Sucks. But at least they go by fast.
nice only two month left. Attila isnt right. The game have a good story + crafting and so on.He is just a old wow boy -_-
i will definitly play aion and then i change to KotR or FF14
Aion reminds me of what Lineage 2 should have been, a lot of potential if it can generate a good pvp base and not just the guild/alliance domination that killed lineage 2.
O w n e d.
Owned.
There, now you have it. :)

On topic, for those have pre-ordered and thus received headstart, this might be interesting to know:
The key you get and use to gain access to the closed beta events (from pre-ordering only) is also the same key that allows you access to headstart. So when you input the key now to gain access to closed beta, that account will automatically change to open beta access when that time comes, and then headstart when that time comes. So you will only need the closed beta/headstart key.
Also, I know some of you may be worried that after the headstart is done (release day) you'll be left there with no copy and thus not being able to play (thanks to slow retailers/online shops). You don't have to worry, after the headstart, there'll be a short grace period, most likely 1-2 days, where you can still play even if you haven't received your retail key/box yet. Those days do not count as headstart though, they will be used in your 30days free time.
Thirdly, some have been irritated that EU launches later than US. And that is true, we do have a later launch, and it's not because NCwest is shafting us in the EU or thinks less of us, it's because deliveries and shipping works much better for us in the EU during fridays rather than tuesdays, like the US has.
Having the shipping done on a tuesday in the EU could potentially give a lot of suppliers problems with reaching the date set, that's why we have it a few days later. It's because it's easier and more accurate for suppliers.
And lastly, even though the EU and the US has slightly different launch dates, the headstart access for the EU and the US will be simultaneous and will (at least scheduled) occur on the same day/time.
So really, we in the EU have not been shafted, it's just the way it has to be.
Yet nothing you have said is facts nor is it telling me why you keep saying WoW has a competitor if only 20% of their player base has been taken.
Remember WAR and AoC the same numbers were said for those games a month or two later it was back to normal. Explain to me why you think Aion is a threat to WoW.
Please dont be a hypocrite saying stuff like
another sweet case of "i dont know wtf im talking about but i hate staying damn quiet" then dumb things like its to be assumed a big chunk of those were in WoW since koreans loved WoW... just aint smart.
Before you type out another wall of text give me facts not speculations.
i think they need to get working on a WoW2 and fix everything wrong with WoW1..
besides that, both games aren't even "that great"
but i'll hopefully play aion sept22
