veto this thread.
Why? I see no reason why this thread should be removed.
Wonderking =/= Maplestory
Just my opinion.
Just about every TQ Digital game utilizing the same engine. In a semi-related matter, can someone tell me which of these is the most fun? I'm stuck with a crappy laptop. I've played The Warlords, wasn't impressed.

"Hey guise lets make everything the same font LULZ"
The only MMO you can't REALLY say is Runes of Magic.
Granted they DID Copy WoW (Amgosh doesn't every 3D F2P MMO nowadays) but they ATLEAST were successful. (I haven't slept in the past 26 hours. Forgive me)
They all took the 3D element from Everquest. And most of WoW was based of of EQ. Meaning anything based off of WoW was partly based off of EQ.
I'd say WoW was the biggest rip off it was the same 3d wasd target based system that we all played befor it came out and was succesful still tricking people to play that old target based system that should been done away with.when wow released.
But all mmorpg's are rip off's of rpg's on systems like nintendo.
Biggest ripoff
Pandora saga
just looks like ffxi all over again.
WoW
RoM
All 2.5D games
SoS
WK
Also did I actually hear someone say Pandora Saga has better graphics then FFXI? Notrly.
Also Why is it with all of these threads it always ends up in a roast of one game, and it's not even a good roast.
you forgot ultima online, lineage and so on...WoW stole everything from the old mmorpgs to make a mmorpg with only good things
I bet myself you were going to say that.
RoM is clearly a WoW clone but at least it is actually a F2P with some sort of quality. Aion looks just like L2... LOL WINGZ OUR GAME IS SO UNIQUE.
But if you are a good devolper then you will borrow some ideas from other games (Champions is having PQs as they said they were a great idea) but unfortunalty it's becoming so bad that devolpers are basically trying to be new WoW (Lotro and WAR).
ROM is a WOW and FFXI in the mixxer.
I think ffxi majorly ripped off wow. Then again, I guess everyone is these days.
ROM is the biggest rip off ever made.
Since its a Rip Off from WoW.
And WoW is a Rip Off from Everquest;
ROM is a (Rip Off)² from everquest.
A Rip Off from a Rip Off, can't get more "Rip Offer"
That was my biggest problem with WoW it seems like a slowed down version of everquest also i felt that mmorpg's should have been capable of non target based system and still be mmorpg.sadly still till today non target based system is rare.
BLeeh no one noticed I was being sarcastic T-T
Let's face the truth, all MMOs are just cheap rip offs of WoW, the grandfather of all online gaming. ;/
Every game, and I mean every game was a rip off from pong! Pong was the first game ever made, so people had to base it off pong. Enough save /thread.
I guess you can say BOD to DFO. I haven't played DFO but yeah I've screenshots of both. BOD really rip-off DFO in alot of ways.
wow, a entire thread dedicated to seeing what game copied what game.
as if we don't do this enough already
XD the shock of RoM still wears heavy on me as the biggest
SoS Ripped from Ragnarok
RoM ripped form WoW
Only 2 that come to mind.
perfect world seems like a rip off of WoW
i just don't get why this company made another clone of their own game
(PW and jade dynasty) why not combine it to make it bigger
It's actually a great way of making money for them.
They do two games that look very different from one another, but plays exactly the same and even has very similar maps, that means they skip very big parts of development and can complete their project faster. Some people don't like fluffy cute graphics so they opt for a more colorless/realistic looking game, they know this and to minimize money cost they simply carbon copy their games and change the overall look.
Minimizing development costs but improving revenue overall. :)
As a customer/consumer I dislike it, but it works for them. It happens with everything. It's stupid, but most fall for it because it looks different, myself included. ^^
Well I say everyone copied from the cave men. I mean what game doesn't have fire? XD
