Well Gears of war 2 has horde mode. And if you don't have XBOX Live (Gold) you can play multiplayer matches with bots =D. And don't worry about the sniper too much, it just takes more skill.
But if your up for a challenge i say L4D, but if you don't want to get bored of a game really fast i say gow2. ( I have both but i ALWAYS play gow2 when i play my Xbox )

and yeah gears 2 sniper is now much better as noobs can't just active blindfire you down.

Also yeah i forgot about left 4 dead which is good but won't really last that long and i would wait like a month or two for left 4 dead 2.

Depends on where you live. Checkout like your retail store if they have a deal going down.
Most likely they do have one.

There are several different bundles available, some have 2 or 3 games (May not be the greatest games in bundles like that though)

check with whatever your game supplier is over there

yeah they gave me forza motorsport 2 and a marvel game. They both sucked o.0

Dude, there's about a thousand games available for the 360. But, the ones I can recommend--that I've personally enjoyed the hell out of--are:

Skate (2)
Mass Effect
BioShock
Fable II
Gears of War (2)
Saints Row (2)

...Um, that's all I can think of off the top of my head. I haven't slept in about 2 days, so, sorry I can't think of much else at the moment. Will update if I think of more~

PC!

MMO's, half life 2, left 4 dead, armed assault, total war, team fortress 2. ect ect

and the biggest factor of all... MODS!

Xbox 360 is a good console, but, make sure you'll enjoy the games you're going to be playing on it.
