I have to agree the combat is way to slow.
But then again it seems he was semi afk. lol
In overall it doesn't look to bad yet, but I'd rather wait too till the game is ready for OB/launch.

This is why Final Fantasy XIV will never have the top spot. ;/ I think they kept the combat slow & boring because Asian gamers won't stay on to keep playing until they die from exhaustion. With combat that crappy, no matter how much they love Final Fantasy they'll get a maximum of four hours in and say "Hmm, I want to play something fun!" then play Starcraft II 'til they keel over.Quote:

Combat may be slower, but anyone with a decent experience in XI knows.. that that's how it belongs.
But hyarume, the problem is not because it is just slow. It is because it has nothing to make up for it in battle. In ff11. . . there was tactic, it had style, slow was ok, but here. . . .
If it stays how I see it atm, I wont be playing this.
I will probably stick to eve online or try Aion in the hopes of it not turning into a neglected lineage botfest. :D

to be honest mabinogi heroes look more funner then FFXIV

FFXIV is a full-mmorpg

I dunno. I like the GUI and graphical improvements but the combat...I think I need to see more before I say anything else.
Can you really call this gameplay? All they was doing is running after monsters, or just looking at them... not enough fighting, or skills being used.
I have to see more than this to judge the game. Hopefully the next gameplay videos will show some high level combat.
The graphics are nothing short of breathtaking. Simply amazing scenery. Even with the horrible quality of this video, the graphics shine through.
Well, we don't know if Quests will be involved in grinding at all. Quests could just be an easy way to make money like in FFXI.Quote:

I hope the numbers in names was just something for the alpha presentation. That's the one thing I love in FFXI, you don't see millions of xXxCloudXxx1990 and SePhirOtH1337 and all those other junk names you see in MMOs..
