I was about to make another thread in order to hate on Allods Online.
Watched a video and was halfway through typing about blood elf ripoffs, when I discovered another playable race.
Could this be the MMORPG I've been searching for?

Probably not if you consider it to be another WoW clone like hundreds of people. But hey, some people like hating on games they haven't tried because they are similar to other games. Nothing wrong with that.
I like it. I played it and I had fun, that was enough for me. The Gibberlings are a pretty creative race and I loved playing as them. They are insanely cute and their skill animations are pretty funny.
There's nothing quite like equipping a two-foot-tall hairy midget with an oversized blade and armor.
In all seriousness, though, it looks alright.
I have to say that it really does look quite like World of Warcraft.
The first thing I noticed was that the pixie-people looked a lot like blood elves.
I guess it's good for people who can't pay subscription fees; the major reason I avoid World of Warcraft is the look, which Allods seems to have adopted. Still, it's free, and I'll download it like I always do with these hyped releases.
At least I know people have tried it now.
I was wondering why games like Allods and SUN have been in our "list of MMO's worth trying" without being released, lol.
Allods adopted WoW look and art style, but it also has improved graphics (more detail, more textures, etc.)
By the way, other than the fact that they are both white with glowing eyes, what's similar between Blood Elves and Allods' elves? I'm just curious.
Like I said, I'm not really a fan of World of Warcraft, but just from screenshots here on OnRPG they reminded me of the Blood Elves.Quote:

I can't really comment on the female elves of Allods, though, as I haven't really seen any female Blood Elves.
I tried to find some pictures to compare but couldn't.
The obvious differences are the wings, and the elves in Allods look somewhat thinner in the video I watched.

But seriously.... Blood elf and Allod elf seem similar, but who cares. I will play the game cause I get to pilot a ship, order three midgets around, and watch people disco dance!!!:3

Well, I think that if they are 3x powerful, they should spend 3x money for leveling, armor, and weapons XD
I don't really know that much about the game since I haven't participated in Russian CB, but I hope I can for EU!!!^_^

what I was asking is how is it gonna look from "outside" I mean status would be like they are using 1 helmet but will they dislpay 3 of them... :/
and I think original poster is spamming with this threads 'cause we already got few threads regarding Allods Online, and one of them has over 1000 posts, so why not just post there where you can find all that you can find on this forum regarding Allods Online...
Very true that he's spamming on the topic of Allods, lol.. But I think you'll be outfitting a particular Gibberling when you buy that helmet. Logically, you'd want your characters with specific builds. Giving a tank more physical defense or a mage magical defense is crucial. If all 3 characters get the same bonus, one person will suffer in your group... I might be wrong though, lol
they all act as one, so all 3 are just one class, you can't have one mage, one warrior and one scout for example :pQuote:
