it's all about taste since all of those games are completely different, except latale and dfo.
/thread kthxbye
Because basing 4 Different MMO's with all different Style's is Great? and why do i forsee a flame fest coming this way oO
Anyway, Dungeon fighter for the Unique style of Gameplay.
mabinogi or dfo
like all says those games are quite diferent though =/ ,
la tale :O
DFO or LaTale.
LaTale; Fun, fresh and terribly cute Dx
DFO; Action-arcade brawler with delicious PvP.
the name of this thread should be " which game is in your opinion the best? mabi,dfo...." I think these games are too different to compare them. But when i think about it. Mabi and DFO win this match. Latale and Fiesta lose
fiesta is a good game if you are new to the mmorpgs worlds and never tasted the grind in any game
On fun factor from my own perspective I'd have to vote LaTale.
Fiesta ~ Is Ok but a very generic MMORPG
DFO ~ Fun if you like brawlers or Action based side scrollers
Mabinogi ~ has a lot of stuff to do and can be very enjoyable, it's just the learning curve that can be a huge turn off.
If you don't have a lot patience and still want a fun MMORPG, I'd go with LaTale.
Personally.. Fiesta, cuz the ingame content kept me going with my friends ingame.. :)
Still playing it from time to time without xfire..
dunno why O.o xfire just dosn't want to record my gametime on Fiesta anymore..
the kingdom quests, the pvp areas, the quests, all the quests, their first instance was actualy quite good.. it was flooded the first few weeks at least...
If I were to rate it by stars, i'd say.. 5/5 stars.. the game is definitialy one of the best in its genre..
Well out of the 4 games, I liked Fiesta the best~
Being a generic mmo doesn't necessarily mean worse.
But it's all about personal preferences, choosing between red and blue :hmm:
Overall it's 4 good and different games :)
ill say latale because thats the longest one i played from the list
eeeh i can still remember those fiesta flame threads- what's up with you guys o_O
i'd say
1. latale / dfo
2. mabi (if you can get into it)
3. fiesta
Mabinogi and Fiesta are completely unnecessary additions to the already absurdly long list of the failures that are point-and-click 3D MMORPGs. Enough said. >_>
LaTale is Maplestory. Enough said. -_-
As for DFO, I haven't gotten to the point where I hate playing it yet. Take that for whatever it's worth. :-/
Wow that game would look nothing like DFO. the reason the game is Unique compared to Dragonica and BoD is that instead of makinf it all 3D or New Age they made it Old School SNES Graphic's. Not only that but the game just Flows better during Combat and PvP comapred to the other 2.
DFO is an all star
Dungeon run system
Rare loot system
Pvp system
Omfg2d fighter
Wide range of classes and job advancements
Cash shop system
Rank system
Less lag due to ip bans
hell I’m ip banned and still know the pros of DFO, **** life.
Mabinogi is still good though due to probably the best casual game play a mmorpg can offer.
Game with unique combat vs. arcade style beatemup vs. sidescrolling maplestory clone vs. generic korean grinder?
I don't think it's possible to compare them.
Dungeon & Fighter (Dungeon Fighter Online) is unique. There is no other MMO like it, except Battle of Destiny, which is only similar because it copied Dungeon & Fighter. =P
Out of that list, I'd recommend Mabinogi, DFO, and LaTale. They all cater to different audiences.
There's A LOT to do in Mabinogi (heck, you can even compose music in this game) and it's probably one of the more unique point-and-click MMOs, since it doesn't focus on combat as much as most MMOs do.
DFO is wonderful if you like old-school beat-em-ups, or action games in general. There are tons of classes to choose from (Slayer, Mage, Gunner, Fighter, Priest, plus Female Gunner and Thief in the future) and every class has four subclasses (except Priest and Thief, which have three and two, respectively). Each subclass plays very differently, so it's easy to find one that suits your playstyle. Suppose you like Fighters. You can change into a Nen Master to shoot energy blasts, create exploding clones, launch a huge dragon made of light, surround yourself with a defensive bubble, and more. You could also advance into a Grappler to toss enemies around (you get grabs that can be activated in the air and grabs that hit enemies on the ground, so you can essentially grab any monster as long as you're close enough =P). There's still Striker and Brawler, plus the subclasses of the other classes, but I just wanted to show how different each subclass is.
Note: There is a fatigue system to discourage excessive gameplay. You get 156 fatigue per day, and it goes down by 1 for every room in a dungeon that you enter. Once you run out of fatigue, you can't go into dungeons, but you can PvP or use another character. Just know that if you want to play this game all day, you'll have to switch characters and/or PvP a whole lot.
LaTale is a side-scroller with nice animations and great gameplay. You can choose from five classes (Wizard, Warrior, Knight, Explorer, and Engineer) and every class (except Engineer) has two advancements. Leveling is somewhat slow (but you can hit 80 in under three weeks playing casually once you're used to the game), so you probably won't go far if you don't like the combat. Notable tricks are JAS (Jump -> Attack -> Skill), ladder skip (hold left/right, jump, then immediately tap up), and ladder cancel (hold left/right, jump, immediately hit up -> jump -> attack -> skill). These allow you to use skills in the air, quickly ascend ladders, and cancel into skills from a ladder, respectively. If you use these, you can really mix up your fighting style, possibly making the game more enjoyable for you (they did for me~).
I know I mentioned some reaaaally specific things in my descriptions, but I figured that you could easily look up basic info on the games, so I might as well provide some info that you wouldn't normally stumble upon.
Apparently its unique to be a copy of something already done I just dont understand the world anymore....
Dungeon run system -Wow has it
Rare loot system - You can loot in everygame
Pvp system - PVP NOWAI?!?!?!?
Omfg2d fighter - Teenage mutant ninja turtles
Wide range of classes and job advancements - Seal online had like 32 Jobs?
Cash shop system - ........you said this for the lulz right?
Rank system - pretty sure almost everygame has one
Less lag due to ip bans - welcome to nexon?
The individual parts of DFO may not be unique, but the game as a whole is.
Suppose you have a person with bright red hair, the top from a gi, slacks, and swimming shoes. Would you say this person isn't unique because clowns have bright red hair, karate students wear gis, business men wear slacks, and swimmers wear swimming shoes? No, you'd say this person is unique (and probably insane) for wearing these things together.
Dungeon Fighter Online has a great dungeon system (which is unique to itself and BoD, as far as MMOs go) with tons of classes and quests. In no other MMO will you find yourself dodging hits and going for back attacks and combos to get a high rank, then going back with a different character and doing the same thing with a completely different skill set (believe me... some times, it doesn't even feel like you're in the same dungeon once you switch characters =P). PvP is highly skill-based and it adds A LOT to the game's life span, since there are so many classes (and skill builds for each class).
A game can also be unique in terms of quality. Arad Senki (Japanese version of DFO) is one of the most polished MMO I have ever played. There is a huge selection of (balanced) subclasses to choose from, each with a different playstyle. The game's pacing is spot on. You don't level too fast or too slow, and quests come in at a nice rate. There's also a constant stream of events and updates. Basically, the whole experience is very streamlined. This isn't the case in most MMOs, where you are often forced to grind for hours to get a level or worry about permanently ruining your character (this difficult to do in Arad Senki unless you TRY to do it).
I've played many, many free MMOs and fighting/sidescrolling/beat-em-up games just so happen to be my favorite genre. DFO is definitely unlike every other game I've played. It has many similarities to games I've played (especially, since it falls under my favorite game genre), but the experience as a whole is very different.
fiesta owns all of these O.o
DFO just like... is to me, horrible.
LA tale was awesomely fun until you find out you have to run a million maps to get to the next place.
Mabi, just really lost it's taste for my type of gaming. Seemed that it took an awfully long time to beat some bosses and shiz.
Just so you know, it's possible to teleport in LaTale. =P
(Warp Capsules, Town Portals, and Stone of Iris Fragments, not to mention Warp Crystals [Cash Shop])
