if so, what do you think made him a memorable character to you maybe quotes, or what about his personality? i fell asleep when it was read out loud on multiple occasions, so i dont know anything about him other than he was sponntanious and funny

All I can remember is that he's a joker, and that he has some strange dialogue during his dieing scene.
And in that DVD version made by the guy who did Moulin Rouge, Mercutio was black and wore drag. That might be notable.

What made him memorable: He died and caused the whole climax of the book (if I remember correctly).
