But regardless, even if it was going to end I highly doubt any reputable organization would even state that the world is going to end. Imagine worldwide reaction to hearing that the world was going to end? It would be complete chaos.
No one can and that's the point it's silly for people to try and predict the end of the world it can 't be done. Sure we could get hit by a rouge comet, or have some truly massive natural disaster that could affect most parts of the world and we most likely will because both have happened before.
