Or maybe, just maybe.. It would give them an even greater sense of accomplisment because they felt the encounters were just as enthralling as the amazing storyline? Instead of just filler gameplay. That's how I saw most of it as, anyways.

youd expect the final boss of any game to be hard i rekon. hey, did you kill the threshermaw or didnt?
When the new character comes out I playing it through again. Was going to make a renagade character but I'm not sure if I could honestly play like that.
And try fighting him without using the Cain. That should up the difficulty of the encounter quite a bit, as now you actually have to FIGHT him :P
Regardless @Tisel, I still felt a sense of accomplishment after I beat him. Don't know what you'd consider accomplishment, though. Beating one of those cheating fighting game final bosses? Beating one of the final few bosses in Ninja Gaiden 2 on the hardest difficulty?
Yeah, I never use heavy weapons so I didn't research to get the Cain.
Made fighting that Reaper sooo much more difficult but also pretty darn fun. Took a lot of strategy.
Thank god for warp explosions!
Try beating it on Insanity with a Vanguard.
Overall though, some encounters were harder then the final boss. I played the game on Hardcore the second time and beat it with only a few swarm problems here and there.
I was actually kind of surprised at how easy some of the encounters were on Insanity.
Like, the Geth Collossus I beat in one try without any squadmates dying. And I didn't even have squad disruptor ammo at that point.
