Why they don't ?
Because men are horribly sexist.
Even though i'm a Christian. I admit, Christianity is sexist, I.E not letting females be priests or making them less likely to be priests.
So how come priests can talk about equality if they don't do it themselves? seems ignorant to me
Religion is generally sexist and homophobic as it's based on ye ol' ideas they don't work in mordern day society yet, people still are gullibal enough to believe in them.
I did get an education. I'm sorry you clearly think differently but this was what I was taught in my science lessons. That we evolved from animals and that the earth was created in a big bang. So either way I refuse to believe we came from something that is to perfect to happen.
I refuse to believe that we came from just 2 people then again I like to mix science with religion. Also we did not come from MONKEY damn it you people. Humans share a common ancestor with modern African apes, like gorillas and chimpanzees.
Sorry, should of said it more clearly. To perfect to happen in my eyes. I just don't believe it would ever happen.

Humans can't be the animal that hasn't evolved.
Also just look outside, catapillers grow yellow and black fur to warn away predators, everything out there has in someway changed throughout the millions of years.
A scientific theory is the highest form of proof that we have for something.
Like the
theory of gravity
germ theory
atomic theory
There are thousands upon thousands of peer reviewed scientific articles on evolution with a total of over 1 million separate pieces of evidence.
Evolution is the most supported theory of all time even more than the theory of gravity.
The big bang is also very well supported.
I can't stop you from being willfully ignorant of scientific facts but hopefully you start to educate yourself sooner or later on such important issues.
I don't care whether you believe in a god or not and you can believe in both the big bang and evolution and still hold a belief in god.
I find it funny for someone to deny over a hundred years of collective information by some of the most brilliant minds all because he doesn't like the way it feels.
Lol why? Because I have an opinion that doesn't sit right with your own? I suppose I can live with the big bang theory and evolution. But i'm gona have to slap the "But God made that happen." I'm sorry but its how i've been brought up since I was born (:
And you don't need to explain it to me Alivada already provided a link for me. Thanks though.
I find it humorous that people are still willing to deny evolution, it's sad really. But going back on topic, I find that most Christians in my area believe in gender equality. It's all a matter of what is becoming socially acceptable.
Tell that to every other religious person who were in that situation but have a differing religion.
Also it's funny because you have no idea what evolution or the big bang really are.
It would be like me lecturing a mechanic about fixing an engine when I am completely ignorant of the topic.
I kinda have a vague idea of evolution, because one of my friends in college is big on evolution and always likes to prove me wrong. So he always tells me about evolution and what its about. So I kinda get the idea of WHAT it is. Just doesn't seem right to me. Because, as i've said, i've been brought up as a Christian.
And your right. There's loads of different religions out there. Don't know if mines right or not? But thats why they call it faith!
Who needs faith when you have proof?
Just saying...
I believe in evolution. I do not believe in intelligent design.
However, I recognize the inherent limitations in my beliefs because we live in a society where science is presumed to be a universal truth and is something taught and accepted as a cold, hard, facts that are divorced from personal beliefs. Obviously, God and religion don't fit very well into our "science-y" world. In a very religious world, evolution and natural selection wouldn't fit in either.
Saying "you only believe in God because of your upbringing" is silly. That applies to everyone, not just religious people. If you were brought up learning science and math, then you're going to believe in that. If you were abandoned as a child and raised by wolves, you're going to believe in that. Don't presume that you are thinking for yourself and religious people aren't. We're all slaves to our upbringing and education.
This is why I roll my eyes at people who try and convince religious people that evolution is the truth by using scientific theory. Its equally as ridiculous as a religious person trying to convince someone that God is the truth by only showing them the Bible. We're all going to believe what we want to believe so we should just leave it at that.
If we all only relied on a gut instinct rather than evidence then we would be back in the stone age or we might have gone extinct.
Not sure how long the real topic can go on.
Not much to say about the obvious.
Well it depends on what thing they have there faith in.
If they have faith that the world is 6,000 years old or there was a great flood that covered the Earth then sure we can prove that those are not true.
We can't show proof for the non existence of anything but events are a whole other matter.
Sorry I didn't mean all of them, I am tired tonight so my explainations suck, but I mean't it's getting more and more like that. As money is revolving around everything, including religion. Now that's not to say all churches, but it seems each day it is getting worse.
