I just started smoking not too long ago, and I feel a bit bleh. Like my stomach is just empty and my throat is pretty dry too. Not sure if this is normal, since I am a first time smoker.
Anyway, I was curious just how harmful can smoking be long term? If I do not want to quit, could I just limit myself to maybe 1 cigerette a week (I have self-control, so this is pretty possible).
Lung Cancer, Emphysema are not so serious illnesses caused by smoking.XD
Trust me, that's harder than you think. My mom used to smoke and it took her a lot of time and pressure to stop. Smoking is one of the worst things to do. It can ruin your life and it can affect other people's lives.Quote:

Pwet is wrong, the first 4 years are for fun a freaking "hobby", after that its an addiction.
Limiting yourself for a 1 in a day is more painfull then smoking 10 a day, because your body got used to the drug, when you smoke your last cig, your drug comes out slowly and you need more of the drug, more and more by the time is passing, 1 a day is more stressfull and killing.. in my opinion.
Lung cancer, the cancer that kills the most, for each 5 people dying, 1 of them is because of cigarettes
You should be able to quit fairly easily in the first 1-3 months, but if you go beyond that, you're pretty much toast
And the addiction is immediate, it's just not glaringly obvious
Cigarettes don't relieve stress, physiologically it's impossible that it does such thing, it's all in your head

My mother started when she was 18 she started with 1 pack a month sometimes even two months, these days she smokes a pack per day.
I mean thats like 5 euros a day on bullshit.
30*5 = 150 euro's a month
12*150 = 1800 euro's a year.
That's a vacation to spain right there.
I'm not saying you will eventually buy a pack a day i'm saying theres a chance you will.
All in all its a waste of money.
it can be pretty deadly, i used to smoke a pack every 2 days, then one day i just decided to quit and i haven't smoked since then.
i do have a cherry cigar every few months though

pwet there is nothing wrong with weed, its the people dealing in it that are dangerous :p or the ammount of growing crap they used on it to buff the THC ammount. real weed from warm country's like jamaica, growed outside dont even get u high cause it barely has THC.. it just tastes good. people easily put it in the catagory: hard dope but i think thats just wrong. they dont even know what theyr talking about cause they never tasted real outdoor weed theirselfs.

This really ain't the best place to be making a decision about this. Try asking someone you know who smokes (like I do). I've never encountered a healthy person that said they are glad they started smoking anything though, young and old. Not once.
