i got OVER NINE THOUSAND
haha i'm too lazy to install the software
I bet it melts my poor pc lol. Not exactly old, just cheaped out on a few parts and need to get more ram.
Melts? Mine will be like throwing it into a hot pit of lava :p I bought my PC in about 2006 and haven't upgraded since then, and even when I bought it, it was pretty outdated. Downloading the benchmark now just for the lulz.
Well, my PC doesn't even run the bench mark. I have a score of 0, which I guess is (one of) the lowest score on here.
Didn't this give false results out the butt?
I remember even people with high end rigs got the result that they could "Barely run it on standard" or something like that.
The benchmark is a joke.
I run on high 1080p and its smooth sailing.
Still i only get 1750 points.
My rig is
AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000+ (3.3 oc)
4 GB Ram
XFX GeForce GTS 250 1GB PhysX CUDA
This download is killing me, **** it. For anyone who's done it, think you can flesh out the bare minimum-recommended (if that makes sense) specs for smooth gameplay?
2436 score. No struggle at all. It did make me wanna play FF so bad tho!!
Win 7 64-bit
Intel i7 CPU 920 @ 2.67GHz (8 CPUs), ~2,8GHz
NVIDIA GeForce GTX260
6144MB RAM DDR3
My system can run TERA at max settings perfectly yet this benchmark says that FFXIV will be all most unplayable to me. This reminds me of when AoC first came out.
The Benchmark is corrupted. But i dont blame my score hahaha : 152!! :p im getting a better pc in 2 month :D
Something is messed up. 1400 score? It was running smooth as butter.
AMD Phenom II X4 3.6ghz
8gb DDR3
Radeon 5770
odd.
2502 - High
x4 955
4 GB of memory
HD 5770
This is mine, PC is semi old kinda.. lol

High: 2900
Low: 4400
:)
Win7 64bit
intel i7 930 (not over clocked)
GTX 285
6GB DDR3
The benchmark doesn't let you change settings, people may not get the score they expect simply because some setup is better at high res while others may be better at shadows/lighting, etc.
What are your specs? The engine is actually pretty great so far considering that the benchmark is based off of alpha code and it's missing a lot of features.
edit: also, everyone reporting low scores on newer cards, upgrade your drivers. If it still doesn't fix it the issue is probably on your end.
It is, actually! Myself and many others have had extremely accurate results come out of the benchmark. The scale they released is off, but the frame rate you get during the benchmark is not. My 4890/Athlon x4 620 2.6ghz scored around ~2400 but maintained >50fps throughout the benchmark. It shouldn't even run that well for me considering the CPU.
The game has some bad code that causes problems with GPU calculations.
The CPU is not even stressed much.
I only get around 60% CPU use on my Athlon X2 5200+ (2.7ghz).
The newest Nvidia drivers released a day or so ago are actually worse than the old ones.
So I downgraded my drivers.
3949(high) on my new pc. 5850 and AMD II 965.
639(low) on my old laptop. 8600 GT and intel core 2 duo 7700.
Wonder which one I'll be using..
In Soviet Russia the only Final Fantasy you can run is death.
But ok seriously.....not gonna play FF14 so I don't care.
I got like 600 score -.-
My pc fails beyond recognition. >:(
3237 - low
1863 - high
My spec
AMD Phenom(tm) II X4 945 Processor (4 CPUs), ~3.0GHz
4gb ram
GeForce 9800 GTX+ 512Mb
Tell me then, what things does Final Fantasy 14 use that is so demanding?
If you don't know then stop flapping your mouth.
Heck even Metro 2033 can run on max directx 10 settings on my PC.
FF 14 certainly doesn't have a high polygon count, or high res textures, or ambient occlusion, or anything demanding that I can think of.

Awwwww, Although I do think my ancient CPU did okay :3
