No, Dragon Age 2 won't look this good, but the Dragon Age 2 trailer that just debuted in Germany should give you a sense of the action they're going for. The game will be out in on March 8
So they're looking more into real-time battles this time around rather than commanding a squad like the original?
I enjoyed Dragon Age: Origins really much but I was swayed when I heard something daft like "200+ Hours gameplay" which was obviously misinformed info or a hoax but whatevs. I can't say much from the debut trailer but what I can see is that that Darkspawn won't be the main enemy now from the looks of things?
And you don't specialise in one class like in origins (where you choose to be knight, mage or rogue) allowing more sense of freedom on how to control your character. So looking forward to playing a battle mage if that's the case.
I'll say they wil only touch up in the graphics a little bit (Origins graphics were good enough) all I hope they focus on is creating another involving storyline with more armor, weapons etc allowing the player more freedom to explore and develop their character's and for god sakes I'm begging you! Please more places to explore!!
and don't end the game after it ends T.T
That was really cool looking. I haven't played the first Dragon Age tho.. I may check it out.

I'm just going to wait for a demonstrated gameplay video before I make any decisions on whether or not I'm getting this. Also you probably didn't know that the only way to beat an archdemon was to sacrifice a life. That didn't come up until later.
The characters were the best part of the game.
Morrigan Always spiced up the party and seeing her fight with Leliana and Alistair was hilarious at times.
I would not count the game short either As it took me 55 hours on one play through and I didn't complete everything.

Third: There is nothing wrong with playing a premade character. You can customize their appearance, gender, etc anyway. That's like saying how bad mass effect is because you can't make your own character and hand pick their stat points while reading spreadsheets in order to maximize effeciency, and then complain about how the game is "too easy" and "should be made harder" just to satisfy your min-maxy needs, with no regard to people who just play the damn game.
But as always I'm going to wait until we see some actual gameplay, because I know the game is going to be nothing like the trailers.

what about Risen recently?, that game was not so easy to s**** feed everything to you but not so hard that could make you vomit, or The witcher for example, AWESOME game with fantastic story and very challenging on hard even if you are an experience player, Morrowind?, the panacea of RPG's, I could spent a month playing that freaking game and discovering at least some new side quest over the millions in it, compared to...DA:O and it's...30-40 sidequests that last 30 minutes tops?

I didn't play Dragon Age Origins for action gameplay. I played it for the more strategic gameplay and the story was just a huge bonus. I'm scared though, every game Bioware makes now will have a Shepard.
I beat Normal mode nearly flawlessly, I played the highest difficulty my second playthrough and got stomped a lot. Especially against the Brood Mother.
I played it for the storyline, which even if being a little "cliched" was pretty well done, same with the graphics and the gameplay, but I was expecting a succesor of Baldur's gate, i was given none of that, little dissapointed, but good game nevertheless, too streamlined and dumbed down to my taste saddlyQuote:

normal was a breeze, so Uped it one bit, still a breeze, only on the highest difficulty was when I saw a true challenge, but since it was all so streamlined I really didn't feel anything really challenging to begin with, brood mother it's all about positioning to be honest, playing with a Warrior Class here, so no magey magey OP stuffQuote:

Gaxkang the unbound it's much more difficult to fight against since you are fighting in this tiny secluded space and ANY AoE will hit you, HARD

Mass Effect 2 on Insanity takes a fair amount of strategy to beat.
but that's the beauty of Mass Effect you know, that cinematic feeling and IN YOUR FACE gameplay and action that makes it so good, even if it is too easyQuote:

only thing I wanted it's for the game to be...longer, not so much harder since if you are playing MAss effect for the difficulty instead of the storyline and gameplay you are doing it wrong
but at least wanted much more sidequests and something else to do that didn't depend on Mediocre DLC that does nothing but give you petty quests at 30 minutes top, and there isn't A LOT of quest based DLC to make it viable, but that's alright yo, it's mass effect and the game wasn't created as a "morrowind/baldur's gate successor" from the get go, it was a cinematic experience and from that, the game it's awesome
DA:O, on the other hand...it was a very good game but developers bluffed too much about it being the next rpg holy grial and stuff
The main reason why Dragon Age is so appealing to me is because there is no good or evil bar. Meaning you can be a moody person who does things on whim rather than being forced into a generic path. I also loved making jokes at a dire situation or just making fun of someone. Hopefully Hawke will still have the same wit as the Grey Warden.
