Except the fact that Islam was founded as a continuation of the other Abrahamic faiths..

Except the fact that God and Allah are just as violent, just as egoistic, and just as vain....

Except the fact that what God says in the Bible, and what Allah says in the Qur'an mirrors eachother over and over again in a lot of cases.....

The only thing different with the two religions is:
1.) the lore -
which is a pointless argument, since it would be like saying swapping the lore of WOW, while keeping the gameplay exactly the same, would make it a completely different game.

2.) The time they've had to develope, and the amount of criticism they've endured -
The only reason most Christians don't act like Muslim extremists(whether they are many or few) today, is because they've been secularised by the onslaught of reason, science and humanistic values for several hundred years because the man at large grew tired of the churches bullshit, lies and tyrany.

Yes, I agree partly, for I do believe that the general muslim is indeed more ingrained in the old customs of Islam and Muslim culture than the practitioners of their western counterpart-religions.
That doesn't change the fact that biggotry is biggotry though.
And it doesn't change the fact that burning their holy book is not actually doing anything but inciting violence and hatred.

People have the right to burn books if they want to. However, we live in world with countless conflicts of all kinds, so maybe it's smarter to ask ourself "what can I do to make the best of this situation" rather than going out of your way only to spite people in the acts of hatred.

You hardly see Atheists(the thinking ones at least) burn bibles just to piss of Christians.
But if you did see it, it would be because the bible is filled with bullshit, not for some other emotional arbitrary reason.
Problem is that these people are not burning the Qur'an for being filled with bullshit, they're burning it because they dislike muslims for an act done by a small minority of that faith -
I.E This entire situation is just another example of religious and philosophical intollerance done by religious people.

Because people who follow their religions exactly like they're "supposed" to(I.E literally) are ignorant and batshit crazy.

And because the one's who don't, are apparently smart enough to notice that most of it is bullshit, but still insist on clinging on to what little is left, for no good reason, which makes you intellectually dishonest.

It's a lose-lose situation. If we replaced the word religion with tarot-cards, alien abduction, and/or any conspiracy theory, most people would be in total agreement. After all, whether you believe "whole-heartedly", or just "in some parts of" tarot-card readings, you're still doing something wrong mentally.

that is not even a true copy of the Qu'ran. The Qu'ran is only in arabic. That copy is only an attempt to translate in english.

Allah protects the Qu'ran, They can burn all the copies in the world and it will still be protected. Its original form is spoken, there is no way to get rid of it.
