The Warriors.
I already own Labyrinth :-/
whats Scott Pilgrim? then again prolly only the older members know it.
i vote
Pokemon: Mew Strikes Back
If it wasn't for me we wouldn't be having this onrpg movie night.
So no Warriors, Ill watch anything but that.
walrus was successful. nice one.
What the "*" star mean?
This is why Onrpg is dying. We can never have nice new stuff running.
Please allow me to rant: WRAAAAAAR-
By 100 billion lightyears. Scott Pilgrim is everything I detest incarnate.
He's made out to look like some "cool indie/hipster nerd" which is the biggest oxymoron on the planet, and the entire film seems like an attempt at a tribute to nerd elitism, which I hate even more, because there really is no such things as "elite nerds/true nerds" -
listening to/playing indie-music doesn't make you cool(and people who think it does, are douchebags), neither does constant references to retro games. And looking like Scott Pilgrim rarely, if ever, makes you popular with women, unless those women are obese, 19 year old, Twilight fangirls who spend all their waking time posting poetry on their blog that nobody actually reads.
Loved the fight sequences though, the camera work etc. Everything except the script, and the characters.
EDIT: Also, before anyone jumps in going "ooooh, but I loved this movie, this is like, a personal attack on me" -
No, it isn't, and get over it. I'm on cordial terms with Shadow and was only giving him the benefit of one of my angry rants. Don't take it personal.
Also,
I think Tidus obnoxiousness was extremely overrated. He had continous character growth, several sides to his personality, and actually has a reasonably back-story that explains his asshat tendencies.
In most cases I think people didn't like Tidus purely because they didn't like his voice(which I can understand perfectly).
Scott because i didn't get to watch it yet :(.
Scott Pilgrim because I've never heard of it.
Oister, you better get the film if you don't already have it.
I'm going to have to sit this one out, my speakers are bricked right now. Once I get some new ones I was thinking about streaming kung-fu movies one night with Oister's help. Scott Pilgrim is a great movie.
The Warriors.
A Nightmare Before Christmas, tis the season.
Schindler's List.
So... Is Oister able to get ANY of our requests? If so....
I suggest a marathon of all the Pokemon movies.
Let's watch Avatar, luls.
Which Avatar ? The one with blue men or the one with a boy with an arrow shape tattoo on his head?
If it's the latter, oh hell no. If it's the former, weee!
Wow lmao, I like how I was just signed up for this without notice.
JK, I'm happy to do it.
I dunno how you guys wanna schedule this though. I mean, this week is really the worst week in the world ever for this...seeing as how Christmas is Saturday and Christmas Eve is Friday...both days a huge % of people are gonna be busy...
Hows next Friday/Saturday sound? I'll post a poll after I get a feel on what people think of that. But I've really got lots of responsibilities and junk this week. Obligations to spend time with my IRL friends and family, rather than you guys :( Stupid society. Lol.
I vote a comedy...Strange Wilderness is one of my favorites. And, it looks like nominations are all over the place, so someone better choose something we can all agree on lol.
Yeah...uhm...ya know..."my dad owns a movie store" *coughcoughcough*

I recently saw "Mongol" that starred Tadanobu Asano (my favorite Japanese actor), it came out in 2008 but it's very, very good. It's about Genghis Khan and how his life was as a child to the point where he rose to power and became one of the most legendary conquerors in history. I suggest that as well.

Another movie I suggest is "Joong-cheon" (The Restless) that came out in 2006. Action/Fantasy Korean movie about a man who almost dies from being poisoned from villagers since he had a bounty on his head and he somehow ends up in purgatory but is somehow alive. The music was amazing in this movie.
And it also had Kim Tae-Hee <3

OISTER, FOR WU TANG AND ADVENTURE TIME, YOU ARE NOW OBLIGED TO IT!
Really though, you definitely don't have to, I can easily put this burden on someone else.
lol
I change my vote to the 1953 movie, Robot Monster.
Pursuit of happiness ?
edit: And a +1 to spirited away.
Most of us voted Scott Pilgrim and 2 other movies( I think The Goonies and The Warriors)
