It's not really about people labeling it as garbage that gets me:
What gets me, is how "j-rock" is an extremely large "genre" - in fact it's not actually a genre but regional music covering many different subgenres - And for that reason I think it prudent to actually make that point clear.

It's the same way when I hear people rip away on rap just because they've never actually heard a rap with meaningfull lyrics, or rap artists actually using proper instrumentals with care.

Also, my post was respectfull in almost every way possible, considering it's message. I made it clear it was all my opinion, that I don't judge people based on their taste in music, but personally don't like VK, and wish that people would try to look a litte past that sub-genre when looking at japanese music, considering how much that region has to offer(being the second biggest music market in the world).
In fact the only people who'd take offense at my post, are people who didn't read it properly to begin with(no offense).

I know, ettore and claudio live would be amazing, then going drinkin after show would be cool haha.. But they're working with that pro skater Elliot Sloan (says on his site). His solo stuff is very gothenburg metalish. Last time I checked claudio said they were still demoing songs. BSC has had ettore and DM on their top friends list for years and they got signed to Coroner Records so maybe they'll do a song featuring him most likely.

You would think so. Evidently, you have no concept of progressive metal, or those progressive metal bands who interpolate jazz fusion elements (like Cynic), or utilize extremely odd-metering/time signatures (like Meshuggah).

Hardcore pits and shows are not more intense because they don't have a barrier. For one thing, only the bigger metal shows have barriers because they attract more people. I have been to lots of shows that didn't have barriers, for instance: Cynic, Intronaut, Dysrhythmia, Dark Tranquillity I believe, probably others but I've just been to so many shows I forget these things. For another, depending on the genre of metal, shows can result in people passing out or being trampled on, or getting seriously injured. Or someone crazy will be in attendance and kill the lead guitarist. I've never heard of that happening at a hardcore show. But I'm glad you can tell the difference between hardcore and metal, because so few people these days can. And it's really frustrating.

My hearing isn't wrong. What I meant is it just sounds all so typical bland and boring, it doesnt stand out. I thought you should get an idea with what I mean, if you listen to the songs I posted.
