Oh c'mon, no ones mention Maplestory as a fabulous F2P game that isn't like most other f2p crap? Tsk tsk.
This isn't really related but - It takes 2 hands to clap. If one side had ignored the other, the other would MOST likely to drop it since continuing on would bring hate from the .. audience. Thus, if one side was tempbanned or warned, so should the other. Given valid reason like a sincere apology(no, not just to the 'authority'), maybe it should be let off or dropped huh.
Also; I noticed an increasing trend of offering cash shop items as prizes for many events in certain f2p games now ;o The leveling curve in most games have been tuned down too, 'cept for certain where the level cap is pretty 'low' and thus later levels became a grind, which is arguable as a good or bad thing.
The reason why I didnt mention Maple is because I dont like how the whole game is centered around grinding ;P
Thats not to say it isnt a good game, because it is and was/is very unique for its time.
More mmos need interactive quests where they're instanced based, my favorite example would be Age of Conan, they ad those daily quests where you grouped up with people and fought in epic battles. Shit like that is what more mmos need. :P
The problem is...that mmorpgs (games in general) don't really use to focus on those "experienced gamers", they instead focus on the new generations...and they obviously will like that kind of games because it's new for them, at least that's how i see it.
But anyway, as long as it gives them profit it'll be hard to see things change, at least in the near future.
The leveling system is rather pointless...yes, specially when you need to go through all the boring and time waster part to start enjoying it, a big percent of the people quits playing during that boring part which is pretty normal. As casual player it takes you at least 2-4 months to reach the good part of a mmorpg.
