why would I even want to know what people in an mmo look like
I'm glad some of you arn't as picky, I was on a forum earlier and the reaction their to a similar question was the complete opposite! Just shows the difference between the 2 mmo communitys.
Yes, I would prefer hot girls, anyone would, but in the end it's kind of moot because I never ask anyone I game with what they look like. I like to keep my internet friends inside the internet.
I don't care, mainly since I won't see every last player, or have an interest in every last player. I'd like to see the faces of people I become good friends with though.. Whenever we decide to contact one another outside of the MMO, usually.
People meet and fall in love in game all the time, why not play something that ups your chances of finding a suitable mate, that being said if the product was sub par and your main objective was a good game then would it matter?, it all comes down to your priorities, same/similar game with more attractive women sounds like an up to me (if I were single still).
Let's say you meet a girl in game and it's all nice as pie you get along etc then she shows you pic 3 or 4, same situation but she shows you pic 1 or 2, I know which one I'd prefer (1 or 2) and hopefully she lives close enough to take things further, males in general go for looks more then women so the same examples may not work in reverse.

If I am talking to you in a game, it typically means I don't think you are a total dud. As long as you can play and don't end up being an anchor then it doesn't matter.

Well, if don't ever plan on meeting them on real life then naturally I would prefer them to look more towards my liking.
If not, then I frankly don't give a damn.

I am inclined to agree. I never see what the people I play with look like. Only if I intended on furthering the relationship outside of the game would I even begin to care what they looked like.Quote:

My mate has met a few women we played WoW with and well he wasn't overly impressed lol.
I've met a few guys I played WoW with at a bar in city was a great night, a little weird playing pool and drinking beer and talking about WoW tho, 1 guy came over from US at one point and we got rat faced at a back packers in city, was a great night.
why would i care what they look like? its not like i am playing the game to date.
although the 3 women i have met and talk to on a regular basis are extremely hot. i never really cared what they looked like until i found out. most of the women i have seen from a couple of my old guilds were usually fat if that says anything. and most of the women i see at midnight releases for mmo's are usually overweight, with the few cute ones usually being there with a boyfriend picking the game up but don't game them selves. so chances are if you meet a female in game shes probably in the same group as the last 2. that of course is if she doesn't have a pickle in between her legs.
i'm a solo player so i absolutely don't care :-/

Could care less about the looks of the people I play with.
Aslong as they know how to ride with the champ ;)
I'm most likely never gonna meet them, but even if I did, I'm not terribly fussed about what people look like. Though there is a certain level of personal hygiene I subtly demand of the people I hang out with in person.

There's a crapload of really cute looking girls interested in mainstream console games like CoD though. That's actually pretty common.
