Now this is something fun to watch.
Sounds like a cyber version of Robin Hood or something, lol.
I'm curious to see how this will end.

Lolfail at frogster's end.
The sad thing is that Frogster is the EU publisher of Tera.. /facepalm

my response to frogster failing.
wonder if mythos going to back hack 2
Whether the "hacking" of Frogster is true or not, this game is a scam, and it's not just Frogster (publisher) but also Runewaker (developer) that is responsible. Also, Frogster-America hired Sean Kauppinen as its interim president who was busted for paying websites to write "positive (p)reviews" of another MMORPG, which was canceled.
PR firm admits to influencing positive game review
here is exactly how it will play out:
1. Frogster has a MINOR/NO set back
2. Police locate hacker
3. A mother gets fined heavily because of her 14 year old son was upset cause mommy didnt buy him the latest CS item
4. 14 year old boy isn't allowed near a computer until he is 18
5. Life goes on like nothing happened
I don't personally like Frogster, but I dislike 10 year old nerd-rage "hackers" even more. I could care less if the guy has 3.5 million accounts worth of data. Will Frogster or any other company in their right mind listen to him? No, and they rightfully shouldn't. Just let the po-po do their thing and the kid will get a slap on the wrist from everyone involved.
Maybe if he didn't make his demands sound like he was 10 or repeat himself in his list then I may have had more respect for him than I would for Frogster, but his rant didn't help his case in my book.
He talks about transparency more than once, he talks about easing up on the forums twice, and he talks about spying on/treatment of employees more than once. (What company DOESN'T log what their employees do at work? They are supposed to be working after all...)
Haha, this is something to keep a eye on....
guys i can counter this hacker so fast it will make your head spin.
change your password.
hacker will go bankrupt!
well i like to ruin people's dreams.
Thats a fail on their part. In all honesty I'm not surpirised, anyone else surprised? I'm sure not. :DQuote:
Nevertheless, we immediately blocked the relevant accounts (account management, forum, and game access) of the affected players for their protection.
Chances are it's a current or X employee with the multiple references to spying on staff.
One of the rare games I ve got banned of nothing. What happens to Tera if Frogster is that horrible company? Probably people even dont want to think about it...
he needs some attention, probably suffer from ADHD, or just got bore of life, the cops should give him some "attention" really :)
I hope that hacker guy will succeed :D
Well, atleast hes doing it for the good of the game.
he is a good guy in my opinion. Frogster delete posts in their forum if someone wanna give them some feedback (mostly bad things about frogster) and they never changed anything. So when they wont listen the only way is to hack them...you see its very easy. I think everyone with some hack knowledge can hack them without any problems. Frogster need to listen to the community or they will lose many people...
gj captain zero
Whatever, Not like I play the game.
way to go batman ! :D keep up the good work and maybe u will be in jail by summer ! :D
I liked the part where he tries to act like a renegade hero of the players yet he threatens the security of the very people he's trying to "protect" by posting their account info.
He is sacrificing community for the better good. You know like Hitler and Aries(or w/e they were called) race.
Suppose you can't treat your customers and players like shit. Good on him.
from RoM to hitler.
only on onrpg
At least I am able to find a good example unlike you who just whine and moan about anything posted.
Don't like it? Shut it. Good day.
oh yeah...:DQuote:

i dont think you can compare hitler to this hacker..seriously..think one more time about his actions..
Poor nico... i'm sorry for him :(
Whoever runs their internal networks is at fault, not him. They have the ability to force certain levels of password security such as the use of capitals, numbers, non-alphanumeric characters and never reusing a password and/or any part of a password over again. So it is the network admins at fault, not one of the users.
Props to him for exploiting a security vulnerability, some of you may think that it's a 10 year old kid who did this but he sure ain't. A 10 year old doesn't even know basic algebra.
