Hah like Sony doesn't want to do the same thing! Seems like Nintendo is the only one that wants us to get together and party!
I think it's a good idea. I just don't like how they execute it, too much nonsense.

I think this was a leaked internal video from a Microsoft marketing event, I don't think this is what they have planned for the Windows platform.
They wanted to show off how their "amazing LIVE ecosystem" can make tonnes of cash.
Couldn't really stand the video but it actually seems like a really good idea. Well played Microsoft.
How is this different from;
Xbox live?
Playstation network?
Steam?
Battle.net?
This has been a trend for the last 5 years.Although i don't think it's terribly necessary it's hardly a bad thing,or even a big deal for that matter.
It was inevitable, just have to deal with what ever happens.
If there ever implement avatars into Windows you can rest assured that some one will find a way to rip them out and make the OS suck less.
Assume, of course, that people actually buy the OS in the first place.
