Your stereotype is both wrong and offensive.
Just because some douche on Xbox Live wanted to see your **** doesn't make all the great gaming communities in the world disappear.
Yeah, totally correct.
ALL gamers are bastards.
ALL gamers are fanboys/girls to whatever they just bought.
ALL gamers are rude, ignorant, abusive and outright juvenile.
Honestly, all your doing is stereotyping. Which is rude, ignorant, abusive and outright jevenile.
Basically.
"I don't want to be classed as a gamer because most people who also call themselves gamers are arrogant, unhelpful, ***-hole ******s"
For those who can't be asked to read the whole thing.
"Since when did it become ok to tell someone they are a "********" for buying and loving their Alienware or Mac? When did someone become a "shitbag" for loving AMD over Nvidia?"
Because only a ******** would pay for an alienware when they can build it themselves for a 5th of the price.
And no I won't think about it, I didn't grow up with you so no we didn't grow up together, quit crying no one cares and get back to playing games :)
You poured your heart into a forum post that 99% of the readers will be, guess what, gamers and also guess what? 99% of those gamers don't care for what you have written. Every social group has it's bad people get over it.
1. It's always been ok to judge a gameplay trailers they are made to be judge. Any one who says they haven't is a lair and a hypocrite.
2. Real gamers don't buy alienware (overpriced pieces of shit) why would you game on a mac. I also find it extremely odd you can build a pc but you bought alienware.
3. I'm to lazy to address anything else lol.
I love how everyone is playing into the stereotypes she's made...
Also, this is your first forum post. Did you honestly think you could go into a community and try to be a prophet of goodwill before even getting to know us...? All we're going to do is shun you and call you names. And by we're, I mean all the fail trolls that are on ONRPG, but since I'm part of ONRPG, I'm a part of that...unfortunately :/ I might not like what some of the people on ONRPG do or say, but that doesn't mean I'm not going to associate myself with ONRPG just because of that.
Anyways, you need to get to know us before you can start to claim anything about us. Unless you're some respected person in the ONRPG community but just made an alt account because you're to afraid to share your real opinion with your real account.
tl;dr .
The ironic thing is, that even though a lot of what FranBunnyFFXII said is stereotypes, most of the replies pointing that out are basically proving their point. While I do agree with you guys in saying that not everyone is like that, the way you are pointing that out isn't really making you seem like a friendly "gamer", especially to someone who is new to the site.
Alienwares are not pieces of shit, they are just overpriced. You can actually game with an Alienware fairly well, but you'd be crazy to buy one (However, if someone gets one for free then what does it matter? They didn't buy it). An example of an overpriced piece of shit is a lot of brand name shoes, seeing as most of them fall apart within a month or two of creation and people pay 10 times as much for them, basically for the name.
But yes, they do have a point, a good number of people here and in the gaming world fit those descriptions, but everyone isn't like that. I would say there are more people who'd be more than willing to help you out and enjoy some games with you than would criticize you. Maybe you just play with the wrong people.
What type of computer you use really doesn't matter as long as you can play the game fine. Nobody would even know what type of computer you use unless you tell them so even Alienwares with the stigma of being "overpriced pieces of shit" wouldn't matter to someone who only cares about getting an instance done or if you don't lag.
The real problem is that someone people take "Gamer" to be some sort of elite status for people view themselves as a video game connoisseur and I'll agree those people are annoying as hell. To me, a "Gamer" is just someone who enjoys games, of any type. Though none of that should ever really matter, we are all just a bunch of random people playing games together.
That whole "console war, PC is the best gaming system, handhelds are stupid" shit is for the people who love arguing about games instead of playing them. To me, it makes more sense to get every platform available for the games I want to play instead of trying to limit myself to the ones I feel have the greatest value over another and end up missing out on exclusives.
Apart from the name you go by, nobody knows anything about you until you say something in this world *shrug*

And stop with the tl;dr crap, seriously. That post was not long and that's really not contributing to the thread. How do you guys even play online games when you don't bother reading anything longer than a paragraph?
Strange day when the same topic appears on the only two forums you frequent.
I agree with this individual. It's true. Sure, I play video games. But I don't consider myself a gamer. I consider my self a legion for making use of the MUTE button to ignore the kiddos. I use the Ban option for every server I host to ban dumb asses. I play a game because I love it. I don't care about the ****ing community because there is no community. Just a bunch of ****tards running around trying to be better then you. Like on this site!
*****es need to QQ somewhere else.

I don't find being a gamer shameful. As a matter of fact it's something you could be proud of. It's life actually. I dont wanna be called a gamer but i just want to be called a man who love games. Its cash draining though but in the end if your wise enough you can make profit with it.
I have some advices in the link below. It contains ways and the new games this era offers. May i be able to help you please inform me by any means.

Don't get me wrong but that inferiority we feels sometimes as being a gamer was wrong for we must sometimes stand for what we do and believe.
