Time for another poll.
I will like to gather feedback if you guys post actively in the forums of games you are playing.
What makes you visit them?
What makes you stay away from them if you don't?
Any opinions are welcome!

In my case it depends more on the host than the game itself. Nexon forums for example are a hell hole full of trolls and mods that can't do their job. In that case it's better to post in a popular fan site.
Organized forums like those of OGP or Aeria Games are far more attractive. In those cases yes, I usually participate in their forums.
option 3 for me, I look for info, builds guides skill discussion and such, but dont f5 like mad all day long...
I only visit my game's forum if I need to look for guides.
depends. i mainly post here. but sometimes if i have a question ill make a thread are post. if the forums are full of assholes then no i want post much.
Please let me know what is stopping you guys from posting actively as well, for example too much of a hassle, no time etc~
Thanks!!!
^ One reason right there.
Let's see...
* Trolls.
* Unmoderated forums or moderators that simply don't act accordingly to their job.
* Forums being spammed left and right due to having inactive mods.
* Unorganized or unfriendly forums (where are the guides? where can I post a technical question? where can I trade with other players?).
* Empty forums in comparison to that of a fan site.
Nope. ..It's Nexon's forums. No thanks.
Jokes aside I'm kind of elitist (shocker) so I don't really like seeing all of the "helppp meeee" threads.
I've generally always found unofficial fan forums tend to have more friendly communities, are run better and also look better.
I usually do, unless the forum in question is like what Orpheus says.
Shit I picked no by mistake meant to pick the 3rd option.
I almost always do post on the forum if I'm playing a game and supporting it. i just don't want to for aeria games because I don't support that whole forum/game sage thing.
Only if I want to discuss something or get involved in a coversation not found on OnRPG.
I use to post on the Nexon forums.. Then A holes invaded..
I use to post on the Ndoors forums.. Account got banned 2 months AFTER I quit Wonderking.. :hmm:
I use to post on Ijji forums.. They said eff it and accepted K-Style, then they decided to let go of Gunbound..
I use to post on the Malaysian Ghost Online website.. Game closed down..
I use to post on the S4 League Forun.. Then I relized this game was perfect..
I use to post on IGG's forum.. I got trolled by people who thought they know what they were talking about..
I use to post on the Stick Arena Forum.. I was praised, then they made you pay for good maps and weapons, and I left..
Then I use to post on the Ragnarok Forum.. Then it went F2P, felt like Gravity got soft as hell by making it F2P, and abandoned the forum...
Thus is why as long as I been registered here, I have so little posts compared to many others..
What kind of improvements would you guys like to see your favorite game's forum to have?
no because I generally prefer posting here, even though we don't have individual sections for every game. I only post at the main forums sites if I have specific questions.
I visit the company's forums.
I do not visit the OnRPG game forum. That would be unnecessary.
i only read the forums of the game that caught my attention for more than a day.. doesnt post much coz im lazy xD
sometimes, lately i post in the terraria forums :P
number 3 for me. i'm more active ingame (specially in AIKA-G) when it comes to the games I play. I go to other game forums such as onrpg to get new info or news on the latest games.
I tend to not make friends in game. I find forum communities much more mature, so I make friends there to play with in game at times.
But I mostly play solo, so I guess the forums also feed my hunger for a community feel in the game anyway.
When I play a game, I tend to be really into all aspects of it, so I definitely go to the forums to look at strategy, easter eggs and just talk generally about the state of the game.
It usually backfires because the forums for any given game are usually festering shitholes full of trolls and whining and it ends up detracting from my overall enjoyment.
i can never support systems where the players run the community like that.
it seems so unprofessional. plus ive seen many cases on aeriagames where the game sages form cliques around themselves and abuse their volunteer status to get free items or into good guilds.
its just disgusting.
i remember i used to be a paying customer on DOMO and they would get the items i paid for, for free.
